In Asaba today, NDC supporters said they were holding a peaceful rally when some APC "thugs" came to disrupt the rally. They said the APC "thugs" broke the windows of their bus and destroyed the rally cars and other properties. The NDC supporters retaliated, got hold of two APC "thugs", and beat them mercilessly. They even beat one of them to death. NDC supporters on X, Facebook, and other social media platforms have been commending and praising them for beating an APC "thug" to death. They are all happy and cheering them on with slogans like "rig and die" and "we will beat any APC supporter we see." Inasmuch as I don't like what the APC "thugs" did, it is not right, and it was never meant to happen. I understand the fact that NDC supporters needed to defend themselves because the APC "thugs" were the aggressors. I'm more concerned that they beat one of them to death and were happy about it. It is even more concerning that people are cheering the ugly act. People, particularly some NDC supporters, were laughing about it and saying they want more of it. How did we get to the point where some Nigerians will be happy about jungle justice and the death of a fellow Nigerian? I know we're in a political season and everybody wants their candidate to win, but at the cost of killing someone? One question I want to ask is: If the person who died today was an NDC thug or supporter, would they be happy and cheer the act today? Wouldn't they bring out "death of democracy" and cry? Elections should not be a do-or-die affair. We don't need to shed blood because of an election that will come and go. Say NO to political violence.

It breaks my heart to see a Yoruba person post something so foolish, especially when it is aimed at ridiculing a Yoruba state. Just this morning, I was comparing two cities in the UK with very different populations, lifestyles and land areas. Naturally, a larger city is more likely to have a busier nightlife. You’ve travelled widely, so you should know that. People from across the country are mocking Ekiti, and instead of challenging their ignorance, you’re joining in. That is shameful. You should know better than to help others ridicule your own people and their state at this very time.

“Igbo has cultural identity crisis that’s why their women are radical and dominate Nigeria feminist. Igbo culture moved from being value centric to being money centric after civil war. All what the Igbo people care about now is money, nothing deep. The culture birthed after the civil war was not original Igbo culture. Igbo were not known to be business minded before the civil war.”

Chief Obafemi Awolowo’s prophetic warnings about Nigeria’s constitutional design are central to his political legacy. Long before independence, he explicitly foresaw that a heavily centralized, unitary-style government in a multi-ethnic nation would inevitably plunge the country into economic stagnation and political and systemic instability. In his foundational books, "Path to Nigerian Freedom" (1947) and "Thoughts on Nigerian Constitution" (1966), Chief Awolowo provided a comparative global analysis of multilingual and multi-ethnic states. He warned that enforcing a unitary system over deeply diverse populations would naturally breed systemic friction. He famously observed that a centralized government wearing a federal mask would at its best "groan poignantly" and at its worst "suffer a nervous breakdown". He argued that centralizing resource control, forcing states to look to the center for monthly financial handouts, would destroy regional productivity. He correctly anticipated that shifting from a system based on productivity and derivation to one based on population size and political leverage would paralyze local economies, breed mass corruption, and slow national development to a crawl. Chief Awolowo viewed federalism not as an abstract political theory, but as an absolute requirement for survival. He firmly believed that national unity in Nigeria could never be coerced or built through slogans; it had to be structurally earned through a balanced division of power where no single group lived in fear of exclusion or domination. Chief Awolowo advocated for a constitutional framework where boundaries were drawn logically around linguistic and cultural lines. He maintained that true stability could only be achieved if minority groups possessed their own autonomous, self-governing federal units rather than being swallowed up by an overbearing center. Awolowo envisioned a secular constitutional framework where regional and cultural identities were preserved through decentralized governance. A highly decentralized, truly federalist Nigeria that actively protected ethnic minorities from regional domination. highly decentralized, truly federalist Nigeria that actively protected ethnic minorities from regional domination. He was right 79 years ago; he is still right today.

This is an avenue for corruption. They might only disburse half of the money. All the vulnerable household i know of hasn't gotten any 50k. But some influencers, well to do people on X here got the 50k. This is one initiative I'm not proud of. They can do better or better still don't do this kind of initiative. Na corruption avenue be this
FG not Tinubu’s N50,000 National Emergency Relief and Stabilization Intervention (NERSI) chop money: KEY SELECTION CRITERIA AND PROCESS: 1: Recipients are identified using a combination of VERIFIED NIN and the NATIONAL SOCIAL REGISTER. 2: what is National Social Register (NSH)? -(a): NSR is a centralized database used to identify, track, and Manage poor and vulnerable households (PVHHs) -(b): @NasscoNigeria manages this exercise in collaboration with state governments and Ministries of Planning. 3: Targeting Methods: households are identified using a combination of geographic targeting, community-based ranking and a proxy means test to assess living conditions. 4: The goal is for EVERY beneficiary to be from the NSR and every one who gets it must have been profiled and considered poor and vulnerable. 5: congratulations to all beneficiaries.

Osanyin is not a jinn Simple
Ọ̀sanyìn Can Be a Jinn Too. Know your limit. The man in this video has a very narrow and limited understanding of the subject. Because he only knows about the street-level vocal trick (ventriloquism) that fake herbalists use to scam gullible clients, he thinks saying "Ọ̀sanyìn is not Jinn" closes the entire case. It does not. Yes, everybody who knows shrine mechanics knows the physical squeaky sound in the room is throat ventriloquism (fọhùn bi Ọ̀sanyìn) using a hidden spider-web membrane or split reed (oko Ọ̀sanyìn). Nobody is arguing that a piece of carved wood has vocal cords. However, if it is only a voice trick and zero unseen spirit is involved, let him answer two questions:  1) Why did Yoruba ancestors across centuries describe the unseen forest spirit of Ọ̀sanyìn / Àrọ̀nì with a very specific, bizarre physical anatomy? 2) How does a deep, initiated Oníṣègùn sometimes reveal a hidden secret that a complete stranger did inside his bedroom three years ago before ever meeting the priest? Let me explain to you all. 1) First of all, in deep Yoruba folklore, when hunters or herbalists encounter Ọ̀sanyìn / Àrọ̀nì in the thick forest, he is described as a diminutive being with one leg, one arm, one eye, one ear, and a tiny whistling voice like a cricket or bird. If you open classical Arabic encyclopedias on the Jinn written over 600 to 1,000 years ago by scholars who never stepped foot in Yorubaland, such as Imam Badr al-Dīn al-Shiblī in: Ākām al-Marjān fī Aḥkām al-Jānn, OR Al-Damīrī in: Ḥayāt al-Ḥayawān al-Kubrā, AND Al-Jāḥiẓ in: Kitāb al-Ḥayawān. These scholars recorded a specific class of forest Jinn known to the ancients as Al-Shiqq (الشق) and Al-Nasnās (النسناس). They are described as appearing in the form of half a man: one eye, one arm, and one leg, hopping swiftly through the trees! Now beg the question: How did pre-colonial Yoruba hunters and 8th-century Arab scholars describe the same one-eyed, one-armed, one-legged forest being if they were not encountering the same unseen species (Jinn)? 2) Let me also explain the Whistling voice. Do you know why priests imitate a high-pitched whistle in the shrine? Because you cannot fake a copy unless an original exists! In Yoruba esoteric tradition, it is a known rule that Ọ̀sanyìn kì í fọhùn gàgà (Ọ̀sanyìn never speaks with a loud human voice); the original forest spirit speaks with a faint, high-pitched whistle or chirp. If you open classical Arabic dictionaries such as Lisān al-ʿArab and Hadith literature: the Arabs documented centuries ago that the natural sound of the Jinn in the wilderness is called Al-ʿAzīf (العزيف). Al-ʿAzīf is a faint, high-pitched whistling, piping, or buzzing sound. Since a Jinn only whispers internally to the priest and does not speak out loud to the client sitting on the mat, the priest uses his throat reed to imitate and act out the real whistling voice of the forest Jinn so the client believes the spirit is physically talking from the wooden doll! 3) How Does "Ọ̀sanyìn" Know Your Hidden Secrets? If there is no Jinn involved, how does a deep herbalist sometimes know what you did inside your bedroom three years ago when nobody was watching?  1/2

Mention 5-10 states in Nigeria that can brag of these things you mention And mind you Ikun diary farm is up and running.
I was born in Ekiti. It is a shame that an agrarian state has no single rice mill, no single functional plantation. Gov Segun Obi came, he built Ikun diary farm. Ruined and wasted! Gov Kayode Fayemi emerged, he bought cows from New Jersey, USA. No milk is yet to be recorded from the farm. That’s one of the numerous projects executed in Ekiti state by these come and go marauders. In Ekiti state, there are several cash cows used to siphon funds. The Olufemi Kayode stadium is one. No governor in Ekiti state, including Gov Fayose & Gov Fayemi double stints that did not renovate the stadium. Currently as I tweet, the stadium is damaged beyond repairs by the rainfall of two weeks. Oluyemi Kayode stadium is one, Olukogosi is another project. Governors after governor, they carve a way to use Ikogosi to loot money. I won’t surprised to see the Agro Allied airport turned to an avenue to siphon in the nearest future.

This mumu just dey throw numbers around like ode wey him be. Biggest hotel in Ekiti is valued at ₦65,000? Biggest super market is valued at ₦23,000? ONKR Being an obidient mean say you gats mumu and your mumu no go get boundary. Say na biggest supermarket is JULI and biggest hotel is Prosperous come dey value am at ₦23 and ₦65 million 😂😂😂 Joke of the year. Even mad man won't value Dave hotel ₦65,000,000 not to talk of prosperous, which is nor even the biggest hotel in Ekiti.
Tell me any Ekiti State governor who lived and had private investments in the state before and after active service. Fayose made his money through truck sales in Ibadan. Segun Oni worked with Rank Xerox in Lagos before going into public service. Fayemi started his career as a research consultant in Ikeja, Lagos and also have three real estates investments in Ibadan. Also, the biggest supermarket in Ekiti is Juli Supermarket, Ado-Ekiti, valued at just ₦23 million. You would have to travel all the way to Akure to shop at a major retail outlet like Shoprite. The biggest hotel is Prosperous Hotel on Iworoko-Ado Road, valued at just ₦65 million, plus the land. When it rains, you might have to wait a week before NEPA can restore electricity because NEPA would need to sundry Electric cables. I don't know the current state of their roads, but I remember that some of their major road projects took 12 years to complete. The Ado-Ekiti–Ifaki road, for instance, was under construction for 12 years, and I'm not even sure it has been completed. This is the state you are biasedly putting side by side with Anambra, the home state of Arthur Eze, Emeka Offor, Cosmas and Ibeto just because you want to be politically correct?

You're a researcher and a writer. You should at least research and read about how election works and how to won election in Nigeria. If you conduct election 100 times in Ekiti these past few years and now, APC will win 100 times. What is Peter Obi or Atiku Abubakar doing to win election in Ekiti? Go to Ekiti if you will see their banner or billboard of their party campaign there. You will see none. Go and listen to their radio or watch their TV if you will hear any jingle of Peter Obi or Atiku Abubakar, you will hear none. How will they win election? You think winning election is all about shouting on X?

A lot of people are bullies. They wait till they see who they can easily push aside to unleash the bully in them.

These are the lies internet people told you lot and you ran away with it.
It was in Ekiti State that people voted on credit ooo 🤣🤣🤣. Imagine adults going to polling stations, casting their votes on credit, and only speaking up when the promised payment never came. 😂 They boast about having one of the highest concentrations of professors, yet somehow, common political sense seems to be in short supply. Their mumu is on steroids! 🤣🤣

They talk about governance in Ekiti and they try to belittle the people of Ekiti state. This is the first time a governor will be back to back term in Ekiti State since they became independent state in 1999. When it comes to voting out bad performers Ekiti is number one in Nigeria. Ekiti state have been voting out one term governor since 1999, how many states can boost of it?. Peter Obi with his Illed performance got reelected even though it was 34% (lowest in Nigeria reelection history) he got back to office. They will lie to you that Ekiti state voted wrongly when they reelect BAO but in reality the people loved him and he contest a weaker and less competent opposition. If they dont love him and acknowledge his work, he wouldn't have gotten over 300,000 votes as against 40,000 from his closest contender. Ekiti is bad but your state with higher FAAC allocation, oil, and other industries is not more developed than Ekiti.

They didn't vote wrong, this is one of the misconception they parading and you took it as your truth. Who was BAO opposition? How competent are they? For BAO to be largely celebrated and accepted shows he's doing something right. He's the first ever governor since 1999 to do 8 years. When it comes to voting bad governance, Ekiti state people is number one. So don't let then deceive you they voted wrong. Say you don't like APC does not mean BAO is not performing.
I used to bash Ekiti jokingly but I saw something and realized we shouldn’t let people turn that state to a slur jokingly Yes, we feel they vote wrong but wo it’s still our state!!! One way or the other, we are related to it We should never let negativity stick tbh

Lies go kee una
Ekiti is my state but most of the roads and so many things has been like that since 1999 no single development

The number of people in the comments that couldn’t tell this is fake is alarming. Later una go dey talk say Twitter get the smartest people on Nigerian internet 😂 Brooo, this app has been infiltrated by retards! As someone who leads certain conversations across social media, I can categorically tell you twitter now has a lot of dumb people. I block more people on twitter than I do on any other platform. Even the Facebook people like to clown, I have more intelligent engagements there. You will see less rubbish in my comment section compared to twitter. You have a lot of shallow people masquerading as intellectuals here. Empty vessels who think so much of themselves just because they’re active on twitter.
Where in Nigeria is this 🤔😱 10k for random 1p correct answer.
