i’m sorry but if you can leave your animals behind when you evacuate i don’t think you deserve to have any animals in your care ever ever… a pet is a family member with its own set of lungs, heart, and brain not an object to you can dispose of.

Sorry for tweeting so much, but Twitter throttles out-bound links, so I'm trying this again.
SoCal animal shelters are overwhelmed with people dropping off injured animals they can't take with them as they flee. Many are in need of volunteers, money, and foster homes 🧵

Little Ringgit and who we suspect is his mom were seen around the same block for a few weeks, and it was clear that this small family didn't have a home. While we work to get mom, we were still able to rescue Ringgit and give him all the love and care he needed.

Fritter showed up at a managed colony, hungry and dirty but eager for affection. Once indoors, he quickly won over the volunteers with his love of scritches, cuddles, and snuggles. This sweetie is truly a big baby craving companionship.

This is Buster. I found him 🔒 up on a 1 yard chain because he was too “aggressive”.
Neighbors alerted me as he wasn’t even getting water.
The challenges this dog has overcome and how happy he is now will fill you with joy (1/10) 🧵

Found a poor, scared pup running the neighborhood on my back from the gym. Fireworks of course. Jumped in the truck and now sitting safely on my couch watching football. Posted on Ring and waiting for contact. Sweet girl. Happy New Year!

This cat was found wandering outside, emaciated and covered in dirt. It was clear he hadn’t had a proper meal in some time. We named him Gordon - and after a much needed bath, he was so happy to finally be safe and warm inside. Now he's with a loving forever family.

sometimes I think red arapaima scales look like closed eyelids
ALT Illustration of an arapaima. Instead of red scales, it has a pattern of red eyes that grow larger toward the tail.

This is Big Mac 🍔. He is an old street dog I’ve known here in Thailand for 3 years who has some health issues.
He wanted to tell you how has had the most incredible 2 months of his life.
Prepare to smile 😃 (1/10) 🧵
