This is a horrible story on many fronts. 1. If you have to make the decision of putting your pet down then you should be with them as they go. 2. WTF did they tell them to put this dog down due to illness and then they keep the dog and then it gets better???? Did they want the dog all along? Something sounds fishy.

Hopkinsville police and Animal Control served a search warrant at Riverbend Canine Training on October 21. Citation reports say they found 10 dogs with no water in any kennel. Most were standing in or covered in urine and feces, some were underweight, and some were in kennels too small for them. When they finally got water, the reports say the dogs “immediately gulped” it. Owner Brandon M. Taylor was cited on 10 counts of second degree cruelty. Alisha Ann Sanchez and Marcus J. Love were each cited on 10 counts of complicity. Under the ADA, the Court granted a permanent injunction, finding Shane Lilly is a qualified individual with a disability and losing Major would be irreparable harm. The City of Austin is now permanently barred from euthanizing him. Within 30 days he goes to a licensed rescue outside Austin and Travis County, then at least 30 days of decompression with veterinary behaviorist Dr. Kenneth Martin to rehabilitate and retrain him. You enter with a tourist visa in 2021 to attend a relative’s wedding. While you’re visiting, TPS is granted to all Venezuelans currently in the country, and you’re legally welcome to stay through this blanket amnesty program. You’re issued a social security number. You’re issued a work permit. You’re issued a driver’s license. You file a W-2 and pay taxes. In November 2025, TPS is discontinued. You’re now immediately “illegal.” Your last visa, the tourist visa, expired six months after you arrived, in mid 2021, and the government would consider you to have overstayed that visa for four years. How is this possible, you ask? This person was continuously legal? How can you retroactively declare someone illegal during that four year period? Her words: “I knew scrolling like that’s my dog.” Even more wild...the vet's husband confirmed it, his wife not only had Cha Cha, but he says the pug was in GOOD HEALTH. The dog they were told was dying was actually ALIVE and DOING WELL. But it gets worse. When the family went to the hospital, managers DENIED IT, Rebecca says they got a LAWYER and won’t talk about it. Then, the family believes, the hospital put Cha Cha down to hide what happened. Rebecca’s words: “The fact that they put a healthy dog down. That’s just sick.” And this is NOT the first time. Earlier this year, another family said their cat Annie was supposed to be euthanized at the SAME hospital, and a worker took her home too. The hospital admitted it “fell short” that time. And Annie? She was put down too. So twice now, a dog or cat has been alive and cared for after the family said goodbye. ...this is beyond insane
