For me it was Circa Survive. Remember hating the vocal on Juturna, didn’t get the flow of any of it, thought it was wank - forgot about them.
Stumbled upon On Letting Go about a year after it came out and fell head over heels for them. No idea what changed but glad it did.
Asked your girlfriend about this and her eyes lost their shine as she forlornly stared into the distance, as if reminiscing on an experience she once treasured but no longer truly remembers.
This was my first “professional” recording for my first “real” band. Got reminded of it today, and honestly don’t think it was a terrible start.
