It's often the most pernicious ideas that have the most seductive appeal - communism, nihilism, sub nationalism and such.
As such one must not disregard even the most juvenile attempts of purporting such ideas and instead nip them in the bud vehemently.
A lot more is at stake than you would imagine.
We are among the most optimistic places on Earth; our young people unlike those in the US, Europe, or elsewhere are largely hopeful.
Anything that has potential to turn latent frustrations into a full fledged revolt,
Anything that distracts from our destiny of being prosperous and being viksit,
Anything that dissipates the energy of our youth into wasteful activities,
must be dealt with.
It's non negotiable.
It's a moral duty.

Sub nationalism is pernicious and antithetical to a civilizational state.
Needs to be opposed at all levels.
The recent comments @nikhilkamathcio made with respect to fiscal federalism are quite disingenuous.
Federalism by definition divides power constitutionally between a central national authority and constituent regional units (states in India's case). The constituents each have protected spheres of autonomy, while they remain part of a single sovereign country.
Hence, in such administrative and governance systems, the movement of resources from higher-income regions to lower-income regions is a core design feature of national unity. This is not a flaw or an “extractive activity”.
Citizens of the country share a common currency, defence, external borders, legal framework and citizenship rights. The regional differences that exist especially in resource endowment are not a result of local efforts. Of course, industrial development is an area where the states can make a huge difference. But each state does not get the same input - geography, history, natural endowment, natural resources - and hence both the starting point as well as ambition and achievement are bound to vary.
Fiscal distribution or even equalization as is the case in many countries, serves as a form and expression of national insurance and solidarity. Residents of poorer or resource-poor regions can still aspire to and eventually access broadly comparable public services which the central government provides. But this can be done without facing radically different tax burdens solely because of geography or history-induced requirements.
This is the system not just in federal structures, but also in unitary countries, which have to take care of their underdeveloped regions. Without such mechanisms, large disparities tend to fuel political resentment or worse, separatist demands, which would undermine the very idea of a single political community.
The fiscal federalism model is very much an expression of the social contract that makes a federal country or for that matter any large, diverse nation viable. Additionally, the fiscal federalism debate of equity vs. efficiency has other dimensions too.
Will outline both the issues in more detail: distribution / redistribution structures in other countries including China and why the administration of federal structure / unitary countries with disparate geographies goes beyond such simplistic ideas.
Finally, you don't import the governance model of any country wholesale without importing its political and social model. Another point of debate and discussion.

I am a Kannadiga and work in one of the big tech firms in Bengaluru. I absolutely DO NOT support any kind of employment reservation based on language or ethnicity. These ppl should be fighting for better education not job reservation. Job should be purely on merit, nothing else.
Bengaluru | Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (KRV) State President T.A. Narayana Gowda says, "For many years, there have been complaints that Kannadigas are not getting employment opportunities in their own state... When Siddaramaiah was the Chief Minister, I had urged the government to bring in legislation providing job reservations for Kannadigas. The then Cabinet approved the proposal, and the file was sent to the Governor for approval. At that time, industrialist Mohandas Pai allegedly tried to intimidate the government... The government was intimidated by Mohandas Pai's threats and did not implement the Mahishi Report..."
KaRaVe idiots have no issue with 40% increase in Nandini milk prices by this govt. Bevarsi tarle

‘Mohandas Pai is Karnataka’s Shakuni, will be forced to leave the state’: KRV activist threatens IT veteran
"Mohandas Pai needs to be taught a lesson. He claims to be a Kannadiga but acts against the interests of Kannadigas. He is like Shakuni from the Mahabharata. He is Karnataka’s Shakuni, and that is not good for our people"
Hey Sam Altman, look I got some HBM memory - the best RAM chips from SK Hynix

Once Sam Altman asked Thakur to give his RAM away.

Now I can now write a thesis on how to “cycle” a new fish tank to go from a mere glass container to a veritable habitable ecosystem.
Thou shalt address me as Dr CBG San
We brought home an aquarium to make our living room more lively. First timers. It was a shock to discover the diverse (and expensive) paraphernalia required to keep the fish alive.
2 days later one fish died. The house went into full-on panic mode.
Now I need to borrow a quantum computer to find the solution.
My fish tank will make me bankrupt soon.
ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವದ ಶುಭಾಶಯಗಳು!
Happy Karnataka Rajyotsava
Beautiful state with so much diversity from western ghats to beaches to rocky landscape. Food is amazing from Rotti Jolada to Neer dosa to bisi bele bath. Love the cultural diversity and warm people here 🙏
Thank you for accepting me almost a quarter of a century ago. Giving me a place to work, live and raise a family safely. Kannadigas are very friendly - have many close family friends. We have imbibed many family cultural nuances in our daily life from them.
Bangalore badly needs RRTS. Make it normal to live in Tumkur, Kolar and work in Bangalore with excellent connectivity
