The National Parking Platform continued its strong growth trajectory in June, with three more councils choosing a smarter way to manage parking payments. 📈
Motorists in those areas can now use their preferred parking app from the six service providers currently connected to the NPP: @APCOAUK @AppyParking Caura @JustPark @PayByPhone & @RingGo_parking . 📱
The future of parking looks bright: more choice for motorists, greater competition driving innovation & a simpler, more seamless parking experience in an increasing number of locations. 🌟

One year on and the National Parking Platform has evolved from a pilot project to the backbone of a more connected UK parking system. It’s now processing more than 1m transactions each month, with 19 councils currently onboard & many more expressing interest in joining.🙌
This reflects the growing momentum behind Open Market parking & greater collaboration between local authorities. Co-ordinated launches in areas such as Hertfordshire & Warwickshire have shown how neighbouring councils can work together to make it easier for motorists to park. 🤝

A recent article in Parking News highlighted the pace of growth, noting that at the current onboarding rate, at least 50 operators could be live by the end of 2026.🗞️
