People wear it like a badge when they read 100+ books or see 300+ movies in a year and it's the weirdest flex ever. It's fine if you consume that much don't get me wrong but it's when you view it as putting you on some sort of pedestal that is so odd to me

Try as I might, my words don’t suffice. I am so blessed to have worked with one of the greatest as he purred my name, “Tasha” with such grace. My colleague, my Captain, “no good-byes, just good memories…”#StarTrek @SirPatStew #PatrickStewart

Patrick was one of those icons who we somehow all took for granted would always be with us. I grew up as a fan, and was later gifted the privilege of becoming a colleague and friend, working with him for many years on “American Dad!”, “Family Guy”, and “Ted”. He was that rare actor who could take any bit of dialogue and elevate it, making a good writer sound great, and a great writer sound masterful. He was also as humble as they come. I remember exchanging emails with him a number of years ago when he was beginning day 1 of a new film. He commented to me that he always walked onto a new set feeling like the biggest novice there. My stunned reaction was the same as anyone’s would be. I said, “Patrick, if you feel that way, the rest of us are screwed.” We have lost a legendary actor today, and for many of us, a good friend. He will be deeply missed by the entire planet.

What a heartbreaking week it has been. Sir Patrick Stewart was a friend, a colleague, and a magnificent actor. From the stage to the bridge of the Enterprise, he brought intelligence, grace, and a deep sense of humanity to everything he did. Captain Picard stood for the best of us, and so did the man who played him. I was filled with affection and admiration for him and his work. My heart goes out to Sunny and his family. He will be deeply missed.

Gotta love that moment when you record a whole episode of @CinemaGeekCast and at the end realize you didn't hit record... smh. Thank goodness I've only done it this one time!

We lost them both this year. The universe is insanely cruel 💔

I would pass on all of them honestly but I know a lot of people would love each which is fine as well
You get a front-row seat to ONE of these legendary performances. Which one are you choosing? A) Michael Jackson — Bad Tour B) Prince — Super Bowl XLI C) Queen — Live Aid D) Beyoncé — Coachella 2018

Yet your profile says 'negativity free zone' lmao
No disrespect to anyone, but I don’t really get how people don’t just grow out of this stuff. When I was 8-15 my life REVOLVED around Marvel, Star Wars & Harry Potter. But I grew up. At some point, you just grow out of this stuff

Tragic take. Glad I don't subscribe to this line of thinking

And here in lies the problem. Your ignorant to the medium you are critiquing
I only have strong opinions on films trying to adapt books. Love to read. Don't watch too many movies, and the ones I watch I watch mostly for escapism. Very few Oscar winners on my watch list. If I want to be engaged to think, I read a book.

I don't want any of that nor do most. Why would I want a carbon copy. That's ridiculous
I know the industry will never learn, but I will continue to try to provide my consistent advice on how to avoid this sort of debacle.

What an ignorant take
This feels a little weird and insincere because Scorsese was not a towering legend when he did Color of Money — he was coming off a series of bombs like After Hours which are only now considered classics. Did Cruise actually have this kind of reverence for him then?

I've been excited about it since I first heard it was happening back in January or so. Can't wait
I don’t need to see another piece of marketing. I’m completely sold and deeply excited for it.

Stop acting like every data percentage point means it's always the 'right' thing to do. Good lord get this guy off the broadcast. #espn #mnf #nfl #SethWalder

This announcing crew for #mnf on #nflnetwork #nfl has to be one of the worst ones I've ever heard. Almost unwatchable
