Time to bring this back: If a catalyst causes the market to rally but then the entire move is reversed shortly after, there will be a much larger move in the opposite direction. In this case, much much larger.

All that money you spent towards inflation will be miniscule compared to how much more will be lost in the market. I will take $4/gal gas over losing 30% in the retirement portfolio.

The amount of people losing their minds over politics recently is hysterical. Do not care at all what you vote for but Trump backed himself in a corner. Dragging this war with Iran is the right move but he underestimated how long Iran would last. Then having to lie to about the time horizon of ending the war lost all credibility. Pulling out of this war without reaching our goals will be a major loss.
