Beautiful and moving chant by our orthodox brothers from Russia. “Before Thy Cross…”

I'd cite the fathers' criterion directly. Irenaeus, Ignatius, and Tertullian treated unbroken public succession of bishops from the apostles as the decisive, visible mark of the authentic church. A body organized centuries later without that succession, relying instead on private interpretation of Scripture alone, is exactly the kind of unauthorized assembly they rejected as outside the apostolic deposit.

The Church consists of all those baptized in the Holy Orthodox Church in the past, present and future. Perhaps going through catechesis would be useful.

The Q here is who represents the church? Is it the bros calling me a trans person and a Jew? Is it the bros who refuse to condemn white supremacy and white nationalist sentiments? Is it members of the faith unwilling to see these issues and only want to point at the far left?
This dude hasn’t heard of the tens of millions killed by the communists in reeducation camps…
