A very harrowing movie, showing the dangerous job of the Polish submariners of #ww2.

On my way to Edinburgh to see Ostatni Patrol, the film about the Polish Orzeł submarine, and passing all these places that the Orzeł’s crew would have known back in 1940. The Forth Bridge, Rosyth Dockyard.

In 1946, under pressure from Stalin, the British Labour government did not invite the Polish Armed Forces, who fought with the Allies, to the Victory Parade in London. The Parade took place #OTD in 1946 to celebrate the victory over Germany during WW2.
More than 200,000 soldiers of the Polish Armed Forces in the West had fought under British High Command, and Polish pilots were vital in the Battle of Britain.
None of them marched in the Parade.
It took 60 long years for Poles to join the Victory Parade.

We are delighted to be able to tell the story of the 🇵🇱 submarine #ORPOrzeł. Winston Churchill called Orzeł's escape from Estonia & the Baltic sea to Scotland "the greatest adventure story to come out of the war". Stay tuned for more details coming soon!
Coming soon! The last patrol of the Orzeł.
