Warren Buffett on excluding the Gates Foundation from his annual donations of Berkshire stock: "I've read a great deal since January 1 in terms of what happened with Bill [Gates] and Epstein ... while it's distasteful and while he made mistakes, I've made mistakes in hiring all kinds of people or choosing friends then finding out later that one way or another they weren't what I thought they were." cnb.cx/459HCvr

So, US (Georgia) lost 9000 jobs indefinitely?
It's now clear that the Hyundai immigration raid was an operational mistake. A big reason why this mistake happened is because the agents who raided this plant (Homeland Security Investigations) have no experience in worksite enforcement. They previously worked on high priority counter-terrorism and child sex trafficking cases, but were reassigned to work on these low priority enforcement cases to help boost the administration's deportation numbers. Because these agents did not know what they were doing, they arrested hundreds of Koreans who were legally authorized to help install equipment at the Hyundai plant in what became the largest raid in U.S. history. Meanwhile, cases involving terror threat investigations, child trafficking, and other transnational crimes are being deprioritized. reuters.com/world/us/thousan…

A South Korean electrician thrown into an ICE detention center says "I will never visit the United States again." He was helping build a factory that is (was?) going to employ thousands of Americans. Tell me, did that raid make America great again?

🇫🇷 #TDF2025 Yesterday, just before the summit of the Tourmalet, Julian Alaphilippe grabbed a cardboard sign from a fan. He tucked it under his jersey to keep warm on the descent. Later, he apologized to the woman. The sign read: “Wout doesn’t know it yet, but we’re getting married!” Today, the woman was a guest in the paddock, warmly welcomed by both Julian and Wout. This is what cycling is all about! 🤗

Islamists are holding a conference on January 18 in Mississauga, Canada, on how to defeat all non-Muslim nations and create a global caliphate. The organization behind the event (Hizb ut-Tahrir) is classified as a terror group in many countries. Concerning!

Firefighters successfully extricated a trapped driver from their vehicle after it became wedged underneath an overpass in #Ottawa this morning.   At approx. 08:40, the Ottawa Fire Services Communications Division received a call reporting a vehicle had driven up and under the overpass at the 417 West & Eagleson Rd and the vehicle had become wedged with the single occupant trapped inside. Upon arrival, Firefighters confirmed the driver was trapped inside the vehicle. Firefighters used cribbing to stabilize the vehicle before using specialized tools to remove the windshield to extricate the trapped driver. At 09:02, the driver was safely extricated from the vehicle and had not sustained any injuries. Firefighters tied a rope to the frame of the vehicle and secured the other end to a cement pillar beside the overpass until the tow truck arrived. We cleared the scene at 09:45 and the scene was left in control with the @OPP_ER. #OttNews

Solutions : 1. Simply use 100% Fed’s land and money for tent structures because sudden big jump of asylum seekers are caused by Fed’s mistake. 2. Make car-free zone for the whole Byward market area. Then it’ll be bery attractive neighborhood like Europe! @_MarkSutcliffe
