No masks? No problem! Small 🧵 on freehand canopy painting: Start with the interior. I like Vallejo’s model air Interior Green. Yes, you can brush paint it. If the first coat is light then add a second. Try to stay tidy. But don’t worry if things are a little messy.

I’m at my wits end with painting canopy’s!!! I used masking fluid this time and was probably worse than normal! I’m also reluctant to fork out nearly a tenner for the correct masks!Maybe it’s time for some armour!

One last look at The #ArtofWW2! We're open this Bank Holiday Monday, 8 May, 2pm-5pm. So you'll get one extra chance to catch the exhibition before its advertised end on 7th May. It'll also be #VEDay, so here's George Charlton's 'Victory Evening May 8th' for the occasion
Painting depicting a VE Day celebration in a Cotswolds village in 1945. A crowd of people can be seen gathering around a First World War memorial just outside a church and graveyard, which appear in the background. Colourful bunting hangs between trees.
