Thank you @RepBresnahan! 👏👏👏
I ran for Congress under a promise of always doing what is best for the people of Northeastern Pennsylvania. If a bill is put in front of me that guts the benefits my neighbors rely on, I will not vote for it. Pennsylvania’s Eighth District chose me to advocate for them in Congress. These benefits are promises that were made to the people of NEPA and where I come from, people keep their word.

Hi folks, our pals at @pahealthaccess created this tool to make it easy to tell your #Pennsylvania House member that you support HB 2234. The measure would lower costs for Pennie and allow folks to level up to more robust coverage.
Please support HB 2234!

Thank you @GovernorShapiro and @RepVenkat for speaking out about medical debt today! 👏👏
And a HUGE thanks to Kris for sharing her personal experience with medical debt.
I’m here in Lewistown to highlight my proposal to erase medical debt for some of the one million Pennsylvanians who are weighed down by it. xitter.gq/i/broadcasts/1jMJgmPWy…
Today, we joined @seiuhcpa & @uhwpa in the capitol to advocate for investments in homecare workers
Homecare workers, like all healthcare workers, deserve livable wages that reflect the value of the dignity and independence they provide to those they care for. #CareOverProfits

Yesterday, I joined @Dist1Pgh, @pahealthaccess, and community members to discuss the tragedy of medical debt and how my legislation, HB 78, included by @GovernorShapiro in his budget, can address this crisis. Thanks to @JustHarvest for hosting us and for championing this cause.
.@PASenateGOP .@PaSenateDems, here are just a few reasons to take action on medical debt!
All these stories were collected from real Pennsylvanians this #ValentinesDay!

But Medicare can now negotiate for lower prices
And drug companies: if you raise prices past the rate of inflation, we’ll take that money back from you.

Thank you @GovernorShapiro for your leadership on alleviating the burden of medical debt for thousands of Pennsylvanians, aiding struggling rural hospitals and EMS agencies, and reducing a driver of healthcare inflation. Proud to stand with you to get this done.
Medical debt disproportionately impacts our rural communities — in Warren County, 20% of residents have medical debt that’s affecting their credit.
My budget proposes wiping out a significant amount of this medical debt with just a $4 million investment, giving folks the chance to succeed financially.
