TURNING WARM FOR HALLOWEEN... Here is the latest 6 - 10 day temperature outlook by the CPC, for the period valid between October 31st - November 4th. There are high probabilities of observing above-average temperatures within this time period. Since our average temperature is dropping quickly as we head toward winter, "above average" temperatures are no longer "hot". Regardless, it is likely we see temperatures in the mid 60s to lower 70s as we head into this time period, so quite warm for this time of year. It looks warm for much of the eastern part of the country, including across the Northeast, Ohio Valley, and Mid-Atlantic! ☀️It also looks to be mostly dry. LOW TEMPERATURES TONIGHT... A chilly fall night is ahead across Pennsylvania, with temperatures dropping into the 30s and 40s by Monday morning. Frost is unlikely for most, but the coldest spots will be close! The coolest temperatures will be across the Northern Tier and parts of north-central PA, where lows fall to around 34F. Places like Clearfield, Coudersport, Mansfield, Towanda and Williamsport will be the coolest. Most of central and southern PA sits in the upper 30s to low 40s, with York, Carlisle and Lancaster around 37-40°. PEAK COLOR IS HERE IN PENNSYLVANIA! 🍂🍁 Many areas across the state are reaching High/Peak color, especially along and north of I-80 and across the Laurel Highlands and even in the Poconos. The recent stretch of cool nights, followed by sunny, calm days, has made colors POP across the state. Make sure to soak up the upcoming stretch of sunny and calm conditions, as many areas are now beginning to enter the "past peak" stage, with leaves beginning to fall off the trees.
