Book of the day: Mr. Kafka, and other tales from the time of the cult, Bohumil Hrabal. "Every morning my landlord enters my room on tiptoe. I can hear his footsteps. The room is so long that you could ride a bicycle from the door to my bed. My landlord leans over me, turns, signals to someone in the doorway and says: "Mr. Kafka's here."

Britain had about 30 million hedgehogs in the 1950s; we've got under 875,000 today. The population has dropped by about 97%. Shocking.

I am so SICK of this! Google should be ordered to fund the conservation of the entire countries forests now. 😡 Too many big companies are clearing forest because the ‘fine’ or consequence is just a small business cost for them. Absolutely disgraceful and happening worldwide! 😤
it's worse than that. google cut down the forest WITHOUT A PERMIT because they know they're too big for small countries like ours to fight. they got off with a "oops haha sorry lol"

Oliver’s poem is perfection; it’s also perhaps the single best writing advice out there not only explaining how but why.
