Today, we have an urgent opportunity to stand up for democracy: On Thursday, @CleCityCouncil introduced rushed legislation to double campaign contributions limits. Council plans to vote on this legislation Monday, just four days after introducing it.
We encourage Cleveland residents to add your name to this letter denouncing the legislation and its rushed timeline. This legislation will ‘pad the campaign coffers of sitting council members by increasing the power of the wealthy.' The rush to pass this undermines public trust.

Please take a second to write! Slipping an anti-PB amendment into a bill is trying to send a signal to municipalities in Ohio that might want to create local laws that threaten corporate special interest.
