I'm sorry - after writing stern letters and hiring lots of lawyers, this is the Carney government’s big move to save Stelco workers? When was the last time the Competition Bureau brought the hammer down on a big corporation? Anyone? Workers are under attack *right now*. Nationalize Stelco, yesterday.

Twitter beefs are silly but let me respond because there’s a very important point here. And I hope everyone will read this. You’re right. This is not about me. It’s about a billionaire group @MajorityDems convening top Democrats to shape the party’s agenda — and trying to block reporters from covering the transactions and deals cut inside the room. I’m the editor of an award-winning news outlet and I am defending my reporters, who are being punished for their widely read reporting on the billionaire funding of @MajorityDems — reporting that has not been factually disputed, and reporting that has been widely cited in other media etc. What Ilyse represents is a part of the Democratic operative class that is desperate to make clear to billionaires that they will serve them — and defend them — and stoop to Trump-style tactics to do that. That’s how these people make their money. They serve donors. It’s literally their business. It’s not all Dem operatives but it is some, and they are making clear that they want to control the 2028 primary, and make sure there is no scrutiny of the process. You can hate me, you can insist like a high schooler that I wasn’t “invited” to your fancy party. But it’s not about me at all. It’s about the attempt to paywall the Democratic presidential primary. That’s what this is — and @LeverNews will continue to report on that, whether these career operatives like it or not.
The fact that you are dismissing a gathering of strategists, organizers, grassroots activists and long-shot candidates, now electeds who poured their entire life force into an historic election because you weren’t invited is telling on yourself. Seriously, it’s not all about you.

🇺🇸 Thousands march through Times Square under “No Schumer, No Jeffries” signs after Democrats win the House and Senate It's called "March for Our Democracy", and it celebrates the midterm results while pressuring the party’s incoming leadership. Progressive groups are calling for contested votes instead of automatically returning Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries to their posts. The split within the Democratic Party is now openly visible, even before the new Congress takes office. Writer: Lucas

My reflection is the following, Canada has a VERY short memory Justin Trudeau was shitcanned and removed from the Liberal party over 2 things: - Mass migration failures - And MASSIVE out of control deficit and debt But Mark Carney is on track to beat trudeau in those 2 categories. By ALOT The excuse of: "He’s new… give him a chance" has run its course This budget exposes squarely the intention and direction that Carney is pursuing Which begs the question: Will Canada tolerate for Carney, what they repudiated with Trudeau… simply because the plan is carried out by a different messenger? Oh Canada… you never cease to surprise me… Sadly in the worse ways possible

It's kind of blackpilling in Canada, with the new immigration numbers from the carney budget 2026 young people will never be able to afford a home as this puts a bid on real estate assets. Tie that with boomers winning and rejecting infills and property development it's joever.

Let me get this straight. You run for president of Paraguay promising "We're going to be better... 500,000 new jobs" to "strengthen the country's pension system". You retain an interest in Ueno Holding until March 2025, while serving as president. You appoint former Ueno Bank chief Carvallo to run the Central Bank. You funnel public funds and money from the state pension and health system into Ueno Bank. Then journalists start following the money. Public and pension money arrives, and days later, in nearly matching amounts, Ueno lends millions to companies linked to its own insider network The bank was feeding a circuit of linked borrowers with weak controls and mounting exposure, while indirectly financing the purchase of its own loans. On paper, the assets left the bank. Inside the circuit, new Ueno credit backed by public funds supplied the money and the risk remained. The books looked cleaner without the bank becoming safer. Meanwhile, the public's exposure kept growing. Ueno held more than US$800 million in public money. The pension system alone had about US$355 million invested there, and Ueno managed pension payments for 32,000 retirees. When the journalists exposed this, regulators seized Ueno. Its solvency had fallen below half the legal minimum. Every service stopped. Branches closed. About 2.9 million customers lost access to withdrawals, cards and digital payments, with savings and salaries trapped inside. The network extends far beyond Paraguay. Ueno's ownership structure runs through U Holdings in Luxembourg. Ueno issued US$350 million in New York-law bonds, with BofA Securities and J.P. Morgan Securities as initial purchasers and joint bookrunners. Ueno was also an official sponsor of Latino Wall Street's Hispanic Prosperity Gala at Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago club. Pena joined Trump's Board of Peace, met Marco Rubio repeatedly, reopened Paraguay's embassy in Jerusalem alongside Benjamin Netanyahu and later met him in New York. Domestic insiders supply the lending circuit, international capital supplies the scale and access. Workers are left holding the risk. Moral of the story: all Zionists are thieves

Chuck Schumer saw 4 Black Senate candidates closing in on historic Southern upsets—Nixon in FL, Davis in LA, Wess in AL, and Colom in MS—and starved every single campaign. Left 4 Senate seats on the table because his playbook is from 1980.

Trudeau broke our permanent immigrant record of 1913 when he welcomed 471,000 in 2023. Carney is set to smash that record and create a new all-time high by welcoming 662,000 in 2027. In 1913 we were settling the Great Prairies. Now we're just catering to big business leeches.
