notes/initial impressions after a fantastic season opener: punchdrunkwolves.com/2026/10…

Initial Impressions

Game one was a near-perfect game. Slight underdogs heading into Miami to face Giannis, the Wolves won by 25. They led by more than that before benches were emptied. Nearly everything went as we hop…

Oh I loved his game overall - just thought he looked a little clumsy when attacking close outs. He played his role very well tho.

The guys who need some training at the Naz Reid Academy for Continuing Ball Movement that’s been Initiated (NRAFCBMTBI) are Shannon and Kuminga. Shannon is a half-lost cause due to one-handedness. Kuminga should be able to improve here. (If it needs to be said, Clark can do it.)

A key to this season is Kuminga feeling great about how he played last night.

Late in the game I accomplished a cool new feature called a “daily post limit.” Anyway. Good win.

I wrote about the LaMelo trade. Think this was a big reason why the Wolves didn't waste any time in getting it done. theringer.com/2026/06/25/nba…

Ant just looked at every person to ever wear a “Miami Heat” uniform and asked “the FUCK is wrong with y’all???”
