🛣️ In Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji laid the foundation stone for the 15-km, 4️⃣-lane Thiruvarur Bypass on NH-83, a major step towards easing congestion and improving urban mobility. The bypass is expected to cut travel time by 50%, divert traffic away from densely populated areas, strengthen connectivity to Karaikal Port, and enable faster transportation of agricultural produce from the Cauvery delta to major markets. It will also improve access to religious and tourism destinations. The inauguration of the 36-km, 4️⃣-lane Vadugapatti–Therkuvenganallur section of NH-744 will significantly improve inter-state mobility, reducing travel time from two hours to approximately one hour. Bypasses at Srivilliputhur, Rajapalayam and Sivakasi will ease urban congestion and facilitate smoother movement through key textile, bandage and fireworks manufacturing hubs. The upgraded corridor will also enhance access to Courtallam Falls and the revered Srivilliputhur Andal Temple. He also inaugurated the 30-km, 4️⃣-lane Vadipatti–Thamaraipatti section of NH-744A. Connecting NH-44 with NH-38, the project will divert through-traffic away from Madurai, improve access to northern parts of the city and surrounding villages, and strengthen links to tourist destinations and industrial estates. भारतीय चित्रपट सृष्टीतील दिग्गज अभिनेते नाना पाटेकर यांच्या निधनाचे वृत्त अतिशय धक्कादायक आणि दुःखद आहे. त्यांना माझी भावपूर्ण श्रद्धांजली. नानांचे आणि माझे अतिशय जवळचे आणि मैत्रीपूर्ण संबंध होते. आपल्या दमदार अभिनयाने पाच दशकांहून अधिक काळ नाना पाटेकर यांनी मराठी व हिंदी चित्रपटांच्या माध्यमातून रसिक प्रेक्षकांच्या मनावर अधिराज्य गाजवले. आपल्या वैशिष्ट्यपूर्ण संवाद शैलीने त्यांनी चित्रपटातील अनेक पात्रे अजरामर केली व आपली वेगळी ओळख निर्माण केली. त्यांचे जाणे ही भारतीय चित्रपटसृष्टीची मोठी हानी आहे. Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji, has approved the establishment of a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), the Integrated Transport & Logistics Authority (ITLA), to strengthen research, planning, project appraisal, monitoring, and impact assessment across India’s transportation and logistics sectors. The initiative addresses long-standing challenges arising from fragmented planning and implementation across multiple transport ministries and agencies. By promoting greater inter-ministerial coordination and multimodal integration, ITLA will enhance the efficiency, sustainability, and effectiveness of transport infrastructure development. The establishment of ITLA will contribute to India’s Vision 2047 by strengthening multimodal connectivity, improving infrastructure efficiency, reducing logistics costs, and enhancing India’s global logistics competitiveness. It will also build institutional capacity in research, big-data integration, project monitoring, evaluation, and the adoption of international best practices. #CabinetDecisions
