Union Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Government of lndia Rajiv Ranjan Singh visited the Ridge Park Orchidarium, this morning.
The Minister was taken on a guided tour of the Orchidarium, where the minister was briefed on its distinctive features and the diverse collection of orchids.
The tour also highlighted the diverse uses of orchids and traditional methods of their safe transportation.

Hon’ble Union Minister Shri Rajiv Ranjan Singh, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, digitally launched the North District Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union Ltd. (NDCMU) under White Revolution 2.0 on 2 November 2026 at Mangan, Sikkim.
From FY 2026–27, NDCMU has been included as an implementing agency under White Revolution 2.0, with a target of forming 15 new Dairy Cooperative Societies (DCSs) to expand cooperative dairying in North Sikkim, strengthen milk procurement and enhance farmers’ livelihoods.

The Minister urged National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) to extend all possible assistance to Government of Sikkim that requires to maximize Milk Production.
The Minister also requested Govt of Sikkim to form 900 more Cooperative Societies to increase production of #Milk related products which can positively impact on overall economy of #Sikkim.

India leads the world in commitments related to green hydrogen supply!
Establishing a strong global presence in the clean energy sector, Indian companies have signed the world’s largest supply commitments for more than 5.5 lakh Metric Tonnes (MT) of green hydrogen equivalent per year.
Since the launch of the National Green Hydrogen Mission in 2023, 23 agreements have been signed so far. More than 70% of this volume has been earmarked for export. In addition, investments of approximately ₹90,000 crore (about US$9.5 billion) are expected in this sector.
