Hope!
If it keeps going at this rate, we might, for (I think) the first time in history, be about to witness the first continent-wide youth revolt in Europe - a "European spring" of sorts. The sheer number of countries where it's **already** happening is pretty overwhelming. I count 8, including 4 with violent clashes: - France, famously - Albania (see below) with daily clashes in Tirana and a government building set alight - Belgium: the French movement spilled over, including riots in Liège - Italy: "No Meloni Day" student protests since 16 October, turning into riots in Milan, Turin and Bologna - Greece: students camping in Athens' Syntagma Square over housing and education costs, explicitly inspired by France - Germany: pupils blockading schools in Berlin and Hamburg in solidarity with France - Spain: an indefinite education strike in Madrid, with students marching alongside teachers and families - Serbia: the student movement born from the 2024 Novi Sad station collapse is now running its own list in the 25 October election And, by the way, the fact it's also happening in countries with close to no immigration - like Albania - goes to show how reductive it is to label these movements, like JD Vance and Trump did with France, as the fruit of "the migrants hav[ing] taken over." As is often the case, it's much more a story of "it's the economy, stupid." As such, Trump with his war on Iran, has ironically done much more to fuel this (pun intended) than any migrant.

I recently travelled to Japan and spoke at the Kyoto Symposium organised by @PLottaz . Be sure to check out my speech on the decline of the global capitalist order, the emerging multipolarity, and the necessity of Marxism: youtu.be/w2cS1wn7dUQ?si=SFVm…

Iran is prepared to give diplomacy another chance if we see strong evidence of a sincere desire by US to build trust & reach a just solution. But if US chooses war over diplomacy, it'll certainly result in an even greater strategic failure. My FT op-ed: ft.com/content/61bf9676-ea46…

A Palestinian father was shot dead by an Israeli sniper while trying to retrieve his son’s body after Israeli forces killed the child. The footage was documented by journalist Hassan Salih, who was later killed by Israel on May 13, 2025, while covering the atrocities in Gaza.

I would be happier had they used China instead of the USA, but the EU bashing is still totally worth it 😂

HAHAHA The US is playing the “With us or against us” card again. Jesus. This has NEVER worked and it will fail again this time. This is your war, you inhumane animal. Leave the rest of the world out of it.
Whether you are conducting illegal oil transfers at sea or sitting in the corner office of a law firm, if you are supporting the Iranian regime, we will find you and sanction you. Iran’s facilitators must make a choice: Either you are with us or against us. We know who you are, we know what you’re doing, and we will continue to take action.

The authoritarian EU system is sucking its member states so dry and is so bankrupt that they really only have the external threat card left to play.
Blaming "hybrid warfare" is now the EU's default respons to the continent wide discontent it's member states are responsible for. They sanctioned me claiming my coverage of pro-Palestine protests benefits Russian "destabilisation". Now they're using the same template on France

Russia is not my Enemy. Peace now!

This is a very important point and so far the best argument against one of the core assumptions of offensive realism (by J Mearsheimer and others) that security competition between the USA and China is inevitable. That framework presupposes that all great powers will necessarily strive for hegemony, but the analysis is built on the observations of purely European great powers. If China, Iran or Russia do have a different “civilizational DNA“ then we might have a theoretical chance that security competition itself can be avoided if we built a smart enough system. For instance, institutionalizing neutral buffer states in the “shared security spheres” of great powers, as Jeffrey Sachs has proposed.
States aspiring for hegemony will always claim to represent universal values and thus speak for all of mankind. States advocating for multipolarity will promotes sovereign equality by arguing for civilizational distinctiveness. When China argues that one civilization should not dictate to another how to develop, we should feel reassured that they have not chosen the hegemonic model of the US.

Saudi Arabia has executed, by beheading, a young couple who kissed at a mosque. Saudi Arabia has the full military support of the EU, US and UK. They don't care about human rights, they simply represent the wishes of corporations for profit. Guess why Iran is their enemy?

My scholarly books & peer-reviewed journal articles show that Western media whitewashed & glorified neo-Nazis & radical nationalists in Ukraine & their involvement in Maidan & Odesa massacres, Donbas civil war & Russia-Ukraine war link.springer.com/book/10.10…
I'm old enough to remember Ukraine before February 2022. Before the great PR makeover. Before billions in British public money started flowing. Before the swastikas were quietly airbrushed out of the picture and yesterday's neo-Nazi problem became today's inconvenient history. Back in January 2015, Ross Kemp travelled to Ukraine for his Extreme World documentary series, investigating the rise of the far right and the Azov Battalion, including its neo-Nazi elements and symbolism. This was British mainstream television, not Russian propaganda. Funny how quickly history gets rewritten when the geopolitical interests change and the public chequebook comes out. Of course, Ukraine's corruption, extremist movements and internal divisions didn't magically disappear in February 2022. But suddenly, mentioning what British journalists had openly reported for years was enough to get you branded a Kremlin sympathiser. Well, here's Ross Kemp reporting from Ukraine in 2015, long before the political rebranding. No Russian bots. No Kremlin script. Just the history they would rather you didn't remember.

What the UK Is Doing to Pro-Palestine Novelist Sally Rooney Is an Act of Orwellian Villainy ‘… It was the government of Keir ‘Israel has a legal right to cut water and electricity to Palestinians’ Starmer, laughably, a former human rights lawyer, that proscribed it under the UK Terrorism Act 2000, placing it on the same footing as al-Qaeda. By pledging her earnings to Palestine Action, Rooney placed herself at risk of arrest if she enters the UK. Now, her publishers can’t pay her for her work, and she’s been forced to withdraw all her books from sale in the UK. It is an extraordinary act of Orwellian villainy, censorship, and oppression by the UK. If they can shut down one of the most popular writers of her time, what other line won’t they cross? It is an absurdity so mind-bending to think that today the current president of Syria, Ahmed al-Sharaa, who rampaged through Syria as the commander of the al-Qaeda offshoot Jabhat al-Nusra, could land in the UK and be received at 10 Downing Street, but Sally Rooney could be arrested on arrival on terrorism charges.’ substack.com/app-link/post?p…

Times have changed!

Not a single arrest has been made of any Israeli involved in attacks on Washington Post photojournalist or European diplomats over the weekend in the West Bank.

Secretary of State James Baker’s famous “not one inch eastward” assurance about NATO expansion in his meeting with Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev on February 9, 1990, was part of a cascade of assurances about Soviet security given by Western leaders to Gorbachev and other Soviet officials throughout the process of German unification in 1990 and on into 1991, according to declassified U.S., Soviet, German, British and French documents posted today by the National Security Archive at George Washington University“ Bitte lesen Sie die original Dokumente.

Hüseyin is absolutely right. If we don’t force them to reverse this authoritarian crap against him, these EU dictators are gonna come for all of us in the dissident movement. Either it stops with @hussedogru, Jacques Baud and @Nath_Yamb, or much worse starts with them. We gotta oppose this extralegal authoritarianism.
