As teachers are working to meet the needs of their students, who is ensuring that teachers have what they need to remain whole?
Teachers' emotional struggles have a DIRECT INFLUENCE on their interactions with students. We must care for teachers, which will in turn help STUDENTS!

Teacher tired isn't just about all the decisions made each day or trying to engage and teach a classroom full of students, which is a lot, but it is also the energy, love, & care that they put into helping all those students become their best self. Thank You Teachers!

If you’re asking teachers to stay at school for 12 hours (for BTS or conferences), you should be providing at least one meal. Just sayin.

Teachers should not have to work well beyond contracted hours (unpaid) just to get things done. Then we wonder why there is a 50% attrition every 5 years. This year will be off the charts if we don’t change expectations. We need state and district leaders to step up for teachers.

As adults, we need to stop 'stealing the struggle' from our kids. When we 'steal the struggle', we steal their opportunity for growth & learning.
We need to prepare them for the path (teach resilience, reflection, and self-respect), but we can't prepare the path for them.

I am glad everyone is supportive of entertainers, athletes, etc. when they focus on their mental health. But, wouldn't it be great if these same people cared about the mental health of educators. You know the ones who really make a difference in the lives of our youths everyday!

Parents, this year is important. We can’t afford to be uninvolved or passive. Be vigilant. Pay attention like never before. Kids are kids for a short moment, but the time spent loving, being present, & correcting them NOW affects generations LATER. – at Irmo, SC
