The racists get bolder and bolder!
I can't believe the police supported these losers and asked this 3 year old boy and his family to leave!
Black excellence is now a criminal offence?
WTH?!!!
They called the police on a three-year-old because he is good at soccer.
Read that again.
They called the cops on a toddler.A three-year-old. Because he can kick a ball better than the other kids on the field.
Not because he assaulted anyone. Not because he had a weapon. Not because he was a danger to anyone.
Grown adults watched a toddler play a sport and decided the appropriate response was to dial emergency services and send uniformed officers to deal with a child who has not yet started kindergarten.
You can leave the Yard, but the Yard never really leaves YOU! 👏🏾🎓

I bought airtime so I could receive calls while in the UK.
I never answered or made calls on my MTN line.
I only wanted to see calls coming through so I could reach out on WhatsApp.
I bought at 3 different times. Airtime vanished.
@MTNGhana staff spent weeks gaslighting me. 🚩🚮
MTN Ghana, enough is enough! ⚠️ The way our data dey finish nowadays is becoming unbearable. We dey pay for data, not for frustration! Stop taking Ghanaians for granted and fix this nonsense! 😡🇬🇭 @MTNGhana @samgeorgegh

Me being one of those who thought he was a middle aged man!🧍🏿♀️ 💀
My colleague at Viasat 1 mentioned him a couple of times, I think in 2011/2012 and I assumed he was an old white dude.
I was shocked to find out he's a young Ghanaian journo! 🤭
Yes, the name thing is real, @asemota.
Narrated this story before: before my face became popular, my name got me into rooms where they assumed i was a (middle-aged) white man.
Around 2008, I was very close to changing my first names to my Ghanaian names. This was shortly after Ghana@50, when a surge of nationalism was sweeping through the country and names like Adom, Nhyira, Dromo, Dzormo, etc were becoming popular and lots of folks were switching to their local names.
The owner of the station where I did my national service suggested to me that because I was looking at an international journalism career, it was best if I kept all my English names. I thought it was nonsense, because I didnt why/what my name had to do with anything if my work was good. And I knew my work was good.
After interesting back and forth within the family, we decided to follow his advice. (RIP, Big Jay 🙏🏿)
And, boy, was he right.
The next 3-4 years were crucial. When the explosion of Facebook, Twitter, StumbleUpon, Tumbler, Blogger meant the major international media needed social-media digital ninjas to populate their new media, I was ready.
However... I consistently had several editors of international publications admitting they initially thought I was some white dude. The implication was not lost on me; I knew what they meant.
Because I made my name as a writer long before radio/TV, the credibility made transitioning easy, so I did not have trouble being accepted on international TV and radio.
But I have often wondered if they'd have taken a chance on my work had they met me with all my Ghanaian names in the beginning...
The buses are moving. What about everyone else?

It's scary how as a country, we've normalised grown men molesting girls under their care.
Isn't it weird that teachers in the school who weren't involved didn't report it to the police?
Even crazier is that parents consented to these old men marrying their school-going girls!

MTN is using these pop up messages to scam elderly people into subscribing for services they don’t understand.
MTN is a big fraud
Everyday I’m cancelling one subscription or another in my mum’s phone.
Girl, you did what you had to do to protect your speace from a clear weirdo who wanted to make your journey uncomfortable.
His own photo exposed him. No explanation needed.
Judging by where her arm is, you were in her space!
A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do! 🧍🏿♀️

Laeticia Amihere already has an NCAA championship with South Carolina. Now the Ghanaian-Canadian forward is on a WNBA Finals roster.
Her Golden State Valkyries secured their first Finals appearance with a 3–0 semifinal sweep of the Las Vegas Aces on October 9. Amihere did not play in the series.
Golden State faces the Atlanta Dream in Game 1 on October 17 at Chase Center in San Francisco
One other is Tyler Perry.
He's not a black woman but anytime he releases a project, it's always black people in a race to clown him, and downplay his work like it's a badge of honour. 🚮🚩
