The CNS adapts to its environment, one way or another 🧬 Shown in the video is something I’m doing between sets of eccentric split squats and single-leg depth drops. One of the things I’m personally working on right now is some SL stability When we repeatedly expose ourselves to certain movements, our brain begins to become more efficient at communicating through the pathways responsible for those actions. Myelin surrounds the road the signals travel on The more we saturate a concept, the better our nervous system can become at executing it without having to consciously think through every little adjustment/movement. So how does this tie into what I’m doing here👇🏽 In my head, I’ve convinced myself that I have to make it across this 35-foot rope without falling or I die. Then immediately turn around and handstand-walk back across burning concrete or, again, I die (I’m serious) Obviously, I’m not actually in danger. But I’m creating a situation where my brain has to be completely engaged in what I’m doing. When we control and increase the level of attention and importance associated with a task, we can influence how the brain processes and adapts from that experience. It can deliver an opportunity to get into that “flow state” everyone talks about where you’re no longer consciously thinking about every movement. Now, I’m not saying every training session needs to look like this. But when an athlete is going through an adjustment period, there’s a lot of value in strategically pairing these types of concepts with the actual training we’re using to improve. We’re not magically speeding up myelination (or are we?) / tricking the brain into learning everything at once. But.. This is something we’ve implemented in different forms throughout our facilities here in Houston (@PRIME_HTX ) for years, and we’ve seen some pretty incredible improvements in how young athletes learn to control their bodies and increase athleticism⚡️ @_alecwilliams @hass_hitting @Garrett_Clem10 @JT_throws @WillyPrimeNHTX @coachporterhtx @FairchildPitch

While a lot of young hitters are obsessed with launch angle in a cage (when pitch path is already lower and flatter to begin with) here’s a 2029 showing the mature ability to match plane again and again and again⚡️ Elite barrel control that transfers to game @Maddoxbryant29 @coachporterhtx @hass_hitting @PRIME_HTX North📍 @NicoMoran @Performance_X2

Clean moves early = clean moves out in front The better your bat moves through the zone early is the better it will move out in front @PrimePJosh @PRIME_HTX

Ideal Launch Angles To All Fields ⬇️ Oppo - <15° (Low ball flight) Center - 15°-25° (Medium ball flight) Pull - >25° (High ball flight) Should be a direct result of how our bat is moving through the zone. Promotes high BABIP the other way and high SLG pull. @PrimePJosh
