ALT Snippet: The body had been strung up in the library for several hours before the first of the unfortunate stumbled upon it. Hanging by threads of bloodied limbs and disheveled clothes, the crime scene was a sight to behold: desecrated flesh, uncovered bone. Violence dripped off of the carefully crafted picture in rivulets, permeating even the smallest corners of the institute. Even those who were unaware of the unfortunate death felt it. It came as a shift in the air, a slight chill up their backs—yes, it was quite clear that this was no ordinary evening, and this was certainly no ordinary murder. No, this was something more visceral, more violent, more hungry. Somewhere, on the distant grounds of the school, a dove went missing. Plucked from its flock, its white feathers ruffled in ignorant annoyance as it was stolen from its perch. It was taken away quietly, led to the dark alleyways that even the light of the moon could not reach.
