From a #PokemonUnite Facebook group:
A father said his son burst into tears after hearing that Unite is shutting down.
He said he has a wonderful time playing with his son, and reducing their emotional distance.
He urges the company to keep the game.

I’m grateful I got to compete at every major Pokémon UNITE event this year: 6th at ACL Finals, WCS 2026, and 5th at the Nagoya Asian Games.
I’m somewhat satisfied with our results—apart from Worlds—but I still have a lot of regrets. I can say I gave it my all, and I’m grateful my teammates did too.
Losing to Korea was emotional. We felt so close to an Asian Games podium, and I wish I could have helped my wonderful teammates get there.
If this was esports’ final appearance at the Asian Games, I’m thankful we got to be part of it. I’ll keep going—see you at AEOS Crown and the SEA Games next year.
After the Nagoya Asian Games, I have a newfound respect for esports pros and idols. Being professional at all times is harder than it looks. I understand now that when you represent your country, your words and actions carry weight beyond yourself.

When asked if esports could truly be considered a sport;
Faker beautifully redefined sports, reminding us that true sportsmanship isn't always measured by sweat on a field, but by the relentless competitive spirit, meticulous preparation, and a journey that inspires millions.
His legendary 2023 season stands as a monument to this philosophy: overcoming a daunting wrist injury, leading his nation to Asian Games gold just a month after his return, and conquering the world stage at Worlds 2023 mere weeks later.
It was a masterclass in pure dedication.. a quiet, powerful reminder that absolute hard work will always bear the sweetest fruit ✨️
