PYCA met with the honorable team of the Senate Secretariat to discuss a complete ban on Partially Hydrogenated Oils (PHOs). We thank DG Senate Naeem Akhtar Bhatti and Director Reporting Khalil-Ullah for their support in advancing this important public health legislation.
Heartfile's food-sampling research (2026) revealed alarming levels of #industrialtransfats in everyday foods, reaching 34.3% in some brands of banaspati ghee and 31.7% in bakery shortenings, Dr. Saba Amjad, CEO Heartfile, calls for a complete legislative ban on (PHOs).
