SPECIAL REPORT: Russian military victory over Ukraine is not inevitable. It is extraordinarily unlikely, in fact, unless Western support for Ukraine collapses. There is simply no inevitable correlation between the relative size of combatants and the outcome of a war — particularly when the war is existential for the smaller state but not for the larger one, as is true today. Russian President Vladimir Putin is nevertheless trying once again to breathe life into the myth of inevitable Russian military victory in order to persuade the United States and other supporters of Ukraine to compel Kyiv to surrender. Ukraine, not Russia, has actually held the initiative in key sectors of the frontline for much of the year and has developed a number of ways of offsetting the overall Russian manpower advantage. Russia’s population and relative (but diminishing) wealth will let Putin continue his war for a long time, to be sure. But Ukraine can also continue fighting for its existence as long as Western support continues.

SpaceX Investor @GerberKawasaki tells me he’s not only “disgusted…from a humanity perspective” by restrictions on Starlink in Ukraine, but also: “…they've given everybody a reason not to use Starlink, that Starlink isn't reliable for national security for anybody but Trump.”

“Zelensky said the throttling of Ukrainian use of Starlink is still going on today. And if you listen to Secretary Hegseth, what he said was, ‘Well, that's just Starlink's terms of service.’ And what he seems to be saying is that Starlink has a speed limit on its use of its service and the Ukrainians were exceeding that.” “But of course they were exceeding it, because people were dying and they're trying to save those lives. It would be like telling an ambulance they have to drive the speed limit even though the patient might die. So that's a terrible situation.” “if Hegseth was for the Ukrainians having the ability to fight Russian drones, he would have said, ‘Oh my God, turn that back on.’ He didn't say that. He said, ‘Well, nothing I can do about it. I'm only the Secretary of Defense.’ He didn't say, ‘Oh my God, Elon, turn it back on because people are dying.’ That's what he could have said, but he didn't say that. So obviously he's okay with it, even if it wasn't his decision.” “And going into negotiations, it gives Putin the upper hand, which is terrible for the for the Ukrainians. And if you were the Russians and you were getting all of this support from the Americans, including diplomatic support, a diesel deal, financial support, an invitation to the G20, the only conclusion you could draw is that Trump is on your side. And in that situation, the chance that Putin's going to make any real concessions is slim to none.”

NEW: The Kremlin's seeming interest in negotiations aims not to end the war in Ukraine but rather to secure economic concessions from the United States such that Russia can continue funding its war. Other Key Takeaways: The Kremlin is fundamentally interested only in buying time to resolve the war on the battlefield while Russia simultaneously reaps the benefits of economic cooperation with the United States. Russian forces are not winning on the battlefield, however, particularly as Ukrainian forces have stymied the planned Russian offensive to seize Donetsk Oblast. The Kremlin is likely actively seeking economic cooperation with the United States as Russia faces significant financial strain. Russian forces conducted a massive missile and drone strike against Ukraine overnight on October 21 to 22 following the October 21 meeting between Witkoff and Putin- a continuation of Russia’s pattern of launching large strike packages in the days before and after major peace talks. Russian forces struck Kyiv City with cluster munitions to purposely harm the civilian population, likely as part of wider Russian efforts to distract from Ukraine’s recent battlefield successes and ultimately force Ukraine into capitulation by making daily life untenable. Ukrainian forces recently advanced south of Vovchansk and in southern Kostyantynivka. Ukrainian forces continued their long-range strike campaign against Russian military assets on October 21 and overnight on October 21 to 22.

The GRU hacked into Jared Kushner's iPhone. Dutch military intelligence (MIVD) then recruited a GRU spy who gave them access to the hacked phone. What MIVD discovered was that Kushner had access to two bank accounts --one Azerbaijani, the other Israeli --where Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Emirati ruler Mohammed bin Zayed deposited money. It sounds like a slightly far-fetched episode of "Slow Horses," but it's real. And it proves just how eye-poppingly corrupt this administration was and continues to be as its "special envoy" decides the fate of tens of millions in Europe in the Middle East. ‼️ NEW: The prison administration at the Russian facility where American civilian Stephen Hubbard was held used the prison’s loudspeaker system to broadcast recordings of @RealAlexJones, @PLnewstoday, and other Western bloggers on a daily basis, according to Ukrainian POWs who were held at the same colony No. 7 in Pakino as Hubbard. The recordings were in English with Russian voice-over translations, and were broadcast along other Russian propaganda content. In effect, Russian prison authorities were using content from Alex Jones and Patrick Lancaster as part of their brainwashing campaign of POWs and as a tool of both physical and psychological torture. Former Ukrainian POW Arslan Annaiev who met Hubbard in prison also described how the Russians treated him: “Stephen Hubbard really disliked injections. When they took him out into the corridor and injected him with something, he would yell, "I don't like this! I don't like this! What are you injecting me with?” He begged the guards to call someone from the embassy. While I was there, he knocked on the door. An operative came in, and James asked him to contact diplomats. They told him they had no influence over it. They just brushed him off. They took away all his personal belongings. He begged: “At least give me a Bible!”, but they refused. He complained that he only heard Russian and Ukrainian around him. It was driving him crazy. He had no one to speak English with. He felt absolutely alone, and he just wanted to read a Bible. The Russians didn't even give him that.” Kudos to Michael Duncan and his @truewarcrime project for uncovering this story - please give him a follow. More Western media should be talking about this. Until US negotiators will side with russian interests and reflect russian position sustainable peace is not achievable and Russia will continue to be threat to Europe and the West.
MORE: Zelensky has repeatedly presented various ceasefires and peace proposals, which Russian officials have continuously rejected and have not yet offered any meaningful concessions toward peace negotiations. Senior Kremlin officials reiterated on October 21 Russia’s long-standing unwillingness to engage in any meaningful peace negotiations while attempting to present Ukraine and Europe as the main obstacles to peace in Ukraine.

Historically, its indeed very true, Russia is not European country since its founding principles are based on Mongol political and power heritage and misses principles of political philosophy and historic experience of Europe. Western negotiators neglect it.
Here are quotes from today's column by one of the main ideologues of the Russian World - Sergei Karaganov. It's titled "A Final Farewell to Europe". I strongly recommend reading it. "We would never have become Great Russia - the world's largest, most culturally, nationally, and religiously open country, united through a rigid vertical of power around the Russian people and language - were it not for the Mongolian political and ideological heritage." "In the military doctrine there is a clear indication and, in case of extreme necessity, the readiness to deliver nuclear strikes against key European countries that are inflaming anti-Russian hysteria while simultaneously supporting the war in Ukraine. Our restraint and peacefulness of recent decades have shown themselves to be counterproductive. They contributed to the revival of the worst in European political culture. Tough deterrence is necessary regarding Europe." The link is in the first comment.
