Padres RHP Kannon Kemp was the most interesting arm in the first game today. 6-5/225 pounds. Short arm action, quick arm. Delivery needs work but it’s loud stuff. FB 95-99, CH 89-90, SL 87-90, SW 82-84.

Key point: And MLB chose to punish small-market Padres for growing game by deny them competitive balance draft picks since ‘23, while other small markets — including, deservedly, Brewers— got one per year. That’ll teach Padres for achieving top-5 attendance every year.
This proves my point. MLB has San Diego listed as 24th in terms of market size but they generate a bunch of revenue because Peter Seidler actually WANTED to win. Screenshot Straight from the CBA page 254

The offseason is owners season. It’s their time to take action. The Padres’ new owners pledge they will do so in a letter to season ticket holders. sandiegouniontribune.com/202…

This is how the Brewers got to Mason Miller The game as we know it is dead
Max Muncy says MLB teams are using AI programs to help identify pitch-tipping “You plug in pitches and the AI program points differences on where the glove is and hand position. That’s what you have been beginning to see with first and third base coaches” (Via @FoulTerritoryTV)

I heard today that in a 5-game series the winner of Game 3 has won the series 72% of the time FWIW

What if both padres and yankees come back from 0-2, each win their next series & meet in the World Series. Wouldn’t that be something?

MLB announced that Mason Miller has been placed on the paternity list. Wandy Peralta is taking his place. So, the Padres will play tonight without their star closer.

The atmosphere in Petco Park tonight will give the Padres a HUGE boost, says @AJPierzynski12. "As far as this series being over, absolutely not."

"They're a different team at Petco Park." Of the teams down 0-2, @Ken_Rosenthal believes the Padres have the best chance to come back.

Big Papi just called out Tatis and Machado, he said “losing this game says a lot about them”. And he’s right.

Ty France squared one up in the 9th of NLDS Game 1, at 105.3 mph and 49°. Then it hit a roof cable at AmFam and dropped into Chourio's glove at 325. Without the wire, the math says about 365 feet. Statcast doesn't do projected distance, so I did. ⚾️ #MLB #NLDS #Padres #Brewers
