Dear All - Update on last Monday Nightโs Space.
During the UK Political space on Monday night, the host, Nil, had one of her windows smashed, you may have heard the recording.
It was not an antisemitic attack and it had nothing to do with X. It was a couple of local kids who have been caught on camera & the police are investigating. Nil is ok if a bit miffed as you would be!
We look forward to hearing you in next Mondayโs space - happy burnham budget day! ๐ฌ

PETITION STARTED BY LEAHโS PARENTS - please sign and share ๐
Our daughter Leah Croucher went missing on 15 February 2019, walking to work. Her body was found three and a half years later, in the loft of a house half a mile from our family home.
The man who killed her, Neil Maxwell, was a convicted sex offender with a history of serious offending going back to 1998. Months before Leah disappeared, he pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a woman and was sentenced to a Community Order, not prison. The Probation Service wrongly classified him as medium risk instead of high risk. He then missed a number of Probation appointments, and a police officer raised concerns about his lack of communication just weeks before Leah went missing. He evaded arrest for six months. During that time, he murdered Leah and took his own life.
The Coroner ruled that Leah was unlawfully killed, and that failures by the Police and Probation Service in monitoring Maxwell "may have played a part" in her death.
That's why we, Leah's parents, are calling for Leah's Law: a mandatory minimum prison sentence for anyone convicted of a third sexual offence.ย
Mandatory minimums already exist for domestic burglary and Class A drug trafficking. There's no justifiable reason sexual offending should be treated more leniently. By a third conviction, it is self-evident that the offender has not been sufficiently deterred from further offending.
Where a case falls below that threshold, we are calling for a District Judge to oversee sentencing in all repeat sexual offence cases, so a decision like the one that let Maxwell walk free can never be made again.
This would have ensured he had no opportunity to kill Leah, and that the risk he presented on his release would have been vastly reduced.
Sign for Leah, and for every family this could still protect.

The problem with being impartial on right wing politics, especially with Restore & Reform, is that any criticism or questioning of one side automatically gets you accused of siding with the other.
As someone on the fence, I see awful behaviour and game play on all sides.
Most of it is just social media. What actually matters is what happens on the streets, in branches and at meetings
Sadly too many people do very little whilst claiming to be 'saving the country' yet they can't even save themselves from their own excuses, bad habits or dramatics
We should all be mature enough to understand that criticisms and questions are not attacks, and the immense progress that civil discourse can make ๐ฌ๐งโค๏ธ

๐ Creating A NEW DISABILITY SETTLEMENT by Jennifer Thetford-Kay โฌ๏ธ Video & link of the draft on original post โฌ๏ธ
Please watch, share and add your thoughts especially where you think the draft settlement still needs challenging or strengthening ๐ A huge thank you to Jennifer for taking the time to tackle the damaging โfakingโ narrative around disability, the pressures on families and carers, and why lasting reform in health and social care needs something much bigger than another short-term initiative. Jennifer shares that "We need cross-party agreement around a long-term disability settlement that survives changes of government. Disabled people, families, carers and care professionals need systems that are joined up, workable and built around real lives โ not departmental silos"

"Faking" Narrative & Disabilities with Jennifer Thetford-Kay
@JenKteach
Aditus Potens AF
A pathway to that power!
*A MUST WATCH*
Jennifer is dedicated to developing health and social care policies that offer a clear pathway to empowering individuals, families, and care professionals across the sector. She emphasizes that long-term progress in health and social care relies on political unity, advocating strongly that "We need cross-party agreements" to establish sustainable policies/laws that empower disabled individuals, support parent carers, and improve care standards.
Jennifer is a Designated Safeguarding Lead and former Registered Manager with extensive health and social care experience across multiple sectors, including care homes. In addition, she has a background in teaching health and social care in higher education.
Jennifer also actively drives community engagement by hosting X Spaces โ creating an inclusive platform for disabled people, parent carers, and professionals to share knowledge and lived experiences.

๐ฌ๐ง Request a mic, find your voice and look to add to the points and perspectives being discussed or choose to raise the topics you feel need further attention, focus or insight.
๐ฌ๐ง In true pub style the โwait at the barโ can increase as the evening progresses so we always encourage early punters to take the mic and look to somewhat avoid that queue.

๐จNO RESPONSE FROM @GBNEWS
on here, next step email ๐๐ป
Dear Mr Booker,
Iโm writing to you as a concerned mother from Kent who regularly shares missing-child appeals across the UK.
What Iโm witnessing is deeply concerning, and I believe GB News has both the platform and the capability to help change it.
Every day, children are reported missing across Britain, yet the lack of publicity surrounding many of these cases is staggering.
Appeals are buried in Facebook posts, some never appear on police websites, and countless children receive little to no mainstream media attention.
When I was growing up, a missing childโs face would be broadcast across television screens. The public knew who they were looking for.
Today, we have more ways to reach people than ever before, yet somehow these children are becoming less visible.
I want to challenge GB News to help change that.
Why not utilise the large screens behind your presenters to continuously rotate verified, active missing-child appeals during selected periods throughout the day?
A photograph, name, age and last-known location. Simple information that could reach hundreds of thousands of people who might otherwise never know that child was missing.
The technology exists. The platform already exists. Whatโs needed is the willingness to put it to use.
GB News has an opportunity to lead the way, set an example for other broadcasters and demonstrate to the British public that protecting our children is more than just a topic for discussion.
We give endless airtime to political debates. Surely we can give some visibility to the children whose families are desperately trying to bring them home?
Of course, appeals would need to be verified with the police, kept up to date and displayed with appropriate safeguarding considerations.
But imagine the impact if even one missing child was recognised because their photograph appeared behind a GB News presenter.
Iโm asking you to seriously consider this proposal and perhaps lead a national initiative that other broadcasters could follow.
These children donโt have a voice. You have a national platform. Please help make sure they arenโt forgotten.
I would genuinely welcome a response and the opportunity to discuss this further.
Kind regards,

Do people think there will be an early general election if Restore gets enough support to become a true contender within the next 6 months?
I think this would happen for Reform/Conservatives and Labour to battle it out.
