We're back from our brief hiatus TONIGHT on @ParagonicRay 's channel to talk about more theology!
Is formal church membership biblical?
Can the One Anothers be executed faithfully without church?
Do creeds, confessions, or other historical documents matter?
Hey Hey Hey Imago Dei! Italy was amazing, but it is good to be home! We'll be getting back in the groove this week with some more Thinkology as well as a topical study on honor.

TONIGHT I'll be taking with @ParagonicRay about how the Church represents the Kingdom of God, and how you can tell if a group counts as a true church or not by visible things that mark them out as such.

Look forward to the RE-LAUNCH of Thinkology on Thursday!!! We'll be starting with a branch of Theology that deals with what the church is.
What is it? Why is it? How does it live? How is it organized?
⚠️NOTE: It will be on @ParagonicRay channel, NOT mine!!!⚠️
We'll see if we can't figure out what a church is with our combined intellects.
Lots happening this week!!! Half of which is on other channels 👀

Life often feels like it is going by at 1000 mph. Being on the internet - especially on social media - only compounds that feeling.
I have to remind myself often to slow down. Take a breath. Be still.
God built rest into creation. Find those moments to hear His quiet whisper.

Why not instead of praying for a quick return because the world is so lost, we thank God for the time we're given to tell the good news to a lost world. Pray for guidance instead of an escape.
You know, like the commission we are told to carry out.
In multiple epistles, Paul insists that the gospel he preaches is from God - not from him.
This assures and reminds his readers about the glorious topic at hand, absolutely.
I like to think Paul is also grounding and checking himself.
I also aspire to only speak God's gospel.
It's days like today - the air clear, the sun shining, and a cool breeze blowing by - that make it easy to understand God's perspective when He looked at everything He had made on day six and called it very good.
I hope to remember days like today in the midst of gloomier ones.
How is your lamp doing?
When Christ said the eye is the lamp of the body, He was almost certainly referring to an existing Jewish idiom.
A 'good eye' meant a generous outlook, while a 'bad eye' meant a stingy one.
If we look out for the needs of others, we are full of light.
