The @ausgov package for AUKUS skills and training will see $128.5 million over four years to fund an additional 4,000 university places...These places will be targeted at STEM disciplines, including physics, chemistry, mathematics and more.

More needs to be done to support young girls to engage with STEM. Sustained support in secondary school will deepen a girls engagement, so they choose to study the physical sciences and specialist maths.
