ALT Nanoscale Surface Photovoltage Spectroscopy This cover illustrates the use of Scanning Probe Microscopy based on time-resolved Kelvin Probe Force Microscopy to measure the nanoscale photoresponse of perovskite solar cell surfaces (see article number https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/adom.202301318 by Stefan A.L. Weber and co-workers). This method, called nanoscale surface photovoltage spectroscopy (nano-SPV), can resolve and map different areas of different defect density in correlation with the sample topography. The authors' findings demonstrate the influence of passivation and grain size changes on defects. These findings will contribute to a better understanding of defects in perovskite materials. https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1002/adom.202470028

ALT Conductive atomic force microscopy (c-AFM) result of CNR-2.6 captured in FFM mode. (a) Topography image of CNR-2.6. The asymmetry in the structure comes from the tip shape (tip convolution effect) (b) Maximum current of each pixel measured at a tip-sample voltage of 10 mV in FFM mode of CNR-2.6. The current signal went into saturation directly on the Pt electrode in the areas around the nanorods.
