you’re overthinking it looking for a player comp. he’s an elite scorer, one of the better finishers and shooters in the league.
Maxey is lowkey one of the most unique players of all time.
I can’t think of a single other player who can average an efficient 30 ppg at 6’2 with zero bag just spamming turbo with unlimited stamina and essentially willing the ball in the basket for 40 straight minutes every single night.
It’s like he runs on smile power
Not to mention he simply never turns the ball over and is currently leading the most turnover efficient team in the league.
But he can not pass or create a shot efficiently lmao.
He quite literally has no player comp and is so hard to evaluate as a player because of it
Like he’s pretty comfortably a t15 player this year, but what basketball skill is he actually exceptional at? He might be the fastest player ever but it’s not like he’s the first super fast guy we’ve ever seen. Maybe he just leverages his speed better than anyone else? Idk man what yall think
