Even with matched prescriptions, the intensity reference method (speed vs. HR) matters — due to dynamic shifts between intensity dimensions. @PatrickRod_PhD @sportaerztin 📰 Editorial (@EJAP_official ): doi.org/10.1007/s00421-025-0… 📄 New study (@_JSAMS ): doi.org/10.1016/j.jsams.2025…

This is the kind of Rubbish that makes Harvard Health look really dumb!
Compared with people who didn't take a tub bath more than twice a week, people who took a daily warm or hot bath had a 28% lower risk of cardiovascular disease and a 26% lower risk of stroke: bit.ly/3qgI0TG #HarvardHealth

Our new study shows that HWI (42°C) increases rapid force production and enhances neuromuscular function. It may improve physical function, including falls prevention in older persons and patient populations. @GeoffMinett @gabrielstrajano @orssattolucas doi.org/10.1016/j.jsams.2021…

Augmented muscle strength (involuntary and voluntary) was observed after long-term PH (animals and humans) (Kodesh & Horowitz, 2010; Goto et al., 2011). Further, increases in corticospinal excitability was reported in humans after a single passive heating session. #ESSTC20 5/6

Increases in quadriceps muscle CSA (MRI) (RF: 6.1% and VL: 2.7%) was observed after 10 weeks of PH exposure (A). Moreover, reduced muscle atrophy was reported (VL CSA: 2.8%; myofiber CSA by biopsy: 5%) after 10 consecutive days of PH in immobilized limbs (B). #ESSTC20 4/6
