Hope everyone's having a good day, I might be more active on here in the future. Mostly to post about weather and video/documentary announcements.
Another thing to consider, the thermocline is starting to show the early stages of our El Niño collapsing. The cooler anomalies are starting to pierce underneath the warm anomalies across the western ENSO region.
Wow @Weatherunited1. After you got obliterated by Daniel Swain, you're going after one of my guys? Here's the truth, David. This El Niño has peaked, how do we know, we are seeing a more volatile ENSO region. Also, SST's along the surface have started to cool due to upwelling.
Who would've thought we'd see this tonight. 3 Hurricanes in the EPAC reminding us of The Day After Tomorrow! Wild Night that Baja California and Hawaii need to closely watch.
This why we should not trust some models with Dolly rn. The 00Z Initialization from the Euro was WAY off compared to satellite on the ground. Models need to catch up to current conditions, this system has been going off since yesterday morning.

If people are going to call others out on Twitter, you should also do it face to face, @PettusWX Invite is still there if you change your mind.
Next time you call someone out, do it directly and don’t blur out my name. That said, I would like to extend an invite for you to come on the Triple P Show for a discussion about this. Show times next week are Wednesday and Friday nights at 8:00 PM EDT/ 7:00 PM CDT. Let us know!
Its that time of year again where the hyped winter outlooks are starting to appear. Keep in the back of your mind that it is late July, not close to winter.
While we have a broad *idea* of what this winter might look like with our El Nino set up, there are still a ton of deciding factors to figure out. These posts are also being more frequently posted as appose to past years with the hype around our "Super El Nino" that is expected to take place.

00Z Euro to 12Z Euro. Slight shift south, but look at the power numbers on some of the ensembles, they just keep increasing.
This is the latest CFS model for February 2027. I know this is early, but if these hold, we will be in for a very brutal winter across the CONUS this year.
