Late summer heat can turn dry lawns, mulch, and yard debris into fast-burning fuel and even small sparks can cause major problems. Carelessly tossed smoking materials are still one of the top causes of preventable outdoor fires.
Before you walk away, take a moment to do it right:
✔ fully put it out (no smoke, no heat!)
✔ use a proper ashtray
✔ keep cigarette butts out of gardens, planters and landscaping
Let’s keep things glowing for the right reasons, with sunshine instead of fires.

Tragedy doesn't take vacation.
No matter where you’re staying, have a fire escape plan and working smoke & CO alarms. 🔥🚨
Know two ways out and a safe meeting place outside. 🏠➡️🌳
Planning helps everyone get to safety quickly in an emergency.
Thank you to @Northcity_Insur for the generous donation of 4 first responder sensory kits, with support from @FMPFSC
These sensory kits will help our firefighters deliver compassionate care while responding to emergencies with individuals who have sensory sensitives in @penetanguishene
Congratulations to Fire Chief MacNeil on his impressive walk time in the @WaypointCtr Mental Health in Motion event on a rainy Saturday morning, all while wearing bunker gear and SCBA!
PFD Firefighters were recently training at @SFA_Canada conducting VEIS (Vent Enter Isolate Search) drills.
