🤝 In FY26, Perseus contributed US$ 5.17 million to communities across Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana and Tanzania, supporting initiatives spanning education, healthcare, infrastructure, skills development and local livelihoods.
Across our operations and projects, we work closely with our host communities to identify priorities and create opportunities beyond mining.
At Edikan in Ghana, 175 scholarships were awarded to tertiary students from catchment communities, while a new nursery and kindergarten block at Fobinso has helped early childhood enrolment roughly triple.
In Côte d’Ivoire, 1,000 local young people were trained around Yaouré in areas including farming, driving, machinery, electrical and machine maintenance, while 50 young people took part in practical and technical skills programmes at Sissingué.
In Tanzania, community infrastructure delivered at Nyanzaga included the Sotta Dispensary and primary schools in Sotta East and West, helping maintain access to healthcare and education.
These initiatives reflect our commitment to delivering meaningful, lasting benefits and strengthening the local economies in which we operate.

Perseus has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Cedar Tanzania, an NGO delivering healthcare, sustainability, education, and community development projects in rural Tanzania.
We will be working with Cedar Tanzania to deliver a sewing and tailoring program in the communities surrounding the Nyanzaga Gold Project. The POWER Perseus program will teach women from communities surrounding the mine how to produce personal protective equipment (PEE), creating a pathway toward participation in local supply chains.
Under the agreement, Perseus will supply pre-cut fabric panels and materials that meet our PPE requirements, while Cedar Tanzania will oversee the training, supervised assembly and stitching of PPE shirts.
By connecting vocational training with genuine supply-chain opportunities, the program aims to support community empowerment, local content development and the creation of skills that can deliver lasting economic value.
We look forward to working with Cedar Tanzania and our host communities to bring this initiative to life. Read more about the program here: loom.ly/zQPuDG4
