You are going to have all these self proclaimed physics experts dumbfounded that they dont see any plane parts. Listen you're not going to. People compare it to plane crashes they've seen where the pilot at least put the wheels down and attempted to land the plane. When you spike a plane full speed into the ground nose first there will just be at best a gash in the ground some fire and what's left are bits you could fit in a trash can.

This is by far the best explanation I have seen of Steve's level of worthiness and, honestly, it makes sense.
Claiming Steve "pretended" he couldn't lift it to not hurt Thor's feelings makes zero sense.
Steve gripped that handle with two hands, dug his boots into the floor, and pulled with his entire body until his veins popped. If he was worthy, it would have flown into the air. It budged because Steve Rogers was 99% pure, but you can't be worthy of the Allfather while actively hiding the fact that your best friend took out Tony Stark's parents.
That lie kept him grounded until Endgame.
