Trump has no role in local voting. Shouldn’t he and his goons all be charged if they violate state law by interfering in the vote count? Presume Trump’s prosecution should be stayed but the others could proceed. @marceelias

I consider myself a patriot. But I'm not a flag-waver. I feel that - in our current tribal environment - the concept of patriotism has been badly coopted. It's just a punchline for many.
Speaking for myself, America has never been about geography or sameness or wealth or military strength as much as it's been about being a force for global good and following a constitution and rule of law to the betterment of all. For 240 years, we did it to a good extent.
We can debate the economic and policy issues of the day, but I really don't see any way for anyone to stand back, look clearly, and conclude that the Trump years haven't put real distance between America and the rule of law, constitution, and being a force for good. They've done it with selfishness, divisiveness, and falsity.
I am hoping that - consciously or not - voters in the Center and Center Right not only feel this, but see it, with clarity.
We have to make a HUGE shift in 2028, one that will require serious accountability. But to do that, we HAVE to stop some of the bleeding NOW, in 2026.
We have to put the flags down, look within, then look without, and remember what America really is.
Dear @AGToddBlanche: When you pull your head out of trump’s ass, you may want to read the United States Constitution. You did not take an oath to trump. You took an oath to the Constitution.
November is coming.

Why is Zelensky's popularity growing as Trump attacks him? Kyiv Independent journalists Jimmy Rushton and Danylo Mokryk argue that Donald Trump’s pressure on Kyiv is backfiring — strengthening support for Volodymyr Zelensky while undermining trust in the United States.

Russia accused.
Romanian President Nicușor Dan has accused Russia of escalating attacks along NATO’s eastern flank. Over the past two weeks, at least seven merchant vessels have been attacked off the coasts of Romania and Bulgaria.
Approximately 30 sailors have either died or remain missing as a result.
Once again, a civilian merchant vessel has been attacked near the edge of Romania’s territorial waters. The ship has sunk, and there are reports of deaths and injuries. The perpetrator is, in all likelihood, Russia once again.
And once again, NATO is taking no action.
In the Black Sea, 13 nautical miles (24 km) off the coast of Constanța, a merchant vessel sailing under the flag of the Comoros was attacked by a drone. There were 13 people on board: 10 Ukrainian citizens and 3 Azerbaijani citizens.
Nine crew members were rescued, one crew member died, and three others remain missing.

There is a reason why Democrats are welcoming Trump’s presence in the midterm election. New data shows that having Trump in the midterm campaign helps Democrats more than Republicans.

Q: How are you going to lower gas prices?
@JamesTalarico: I've already laid out a plan to suspend the federal gas tax and diesel tax, which would immediately drop the price of gas by 18 cents a gallon for Texans.
But that's a stopgap measure. The only thing that's really going to lower these prices is ending this disastrous war in Iran.
We need checks and balances back in our government. The legislative branch has to reassert its authority — Congress is the one that can and should declare war. We desperately need to restore those checks and balances and check the overreaches of the executive branch.

His first pick for AG was a man who was chased out of Congress by his own party for allegedly raping underage girls.
Does anyone actually think he would care about this?

BAIER: Millions of Michiganders have private insurance… Will you tell them today that their plans are going away?
EL-SAYED: No, I don't want to take away anything. It’s about providing healthcare for everybody. It’s like saying because you have public schools, you can’t have private schools. I’m fine with people keeping their private insurance if that’s what they want.

Putin gets massive sanctions relief. Ukraine gets its defenses crippled.
And the United States gets less than one day's worth of diesel and no meaningful relief at the pump.

SCOOP: Mass Exodus From @RepHaridopolos Office Amid Ethics Concerns; Deputies Escort Staff Out, Office Silent
Ten of the 15 people who started work in Congressman Mike Haridopolos’ office on day one are already gone. About 19 total have left Rep. Mike Haridopolos.
One was escorted out by Brevard County Sheriff’s deputies after raising concerns about what was happening inside the office.
Another quit after about a month. Staff say he refused to go along with the chief of staff running taxpayer-reimbursed purchases through her personal rewards credit card.
House records show $181,975.84 in office expenses paid directly to Chief of Staff Hannah Fraher in just 18 months (on top of her $210,000 salary).
She also alleged to have used a subordinate’s Social Security number to add her to that personal card without permission.
Meanwhile, veterans calling the district office for help are being told the veterans services position is vacant.
The congressman’s office has not answered a single question surrounding the allegations and mass departure of staff from his office. We’re publishing every one of them so you can read them and decide for yourself.
Read the full investigation linked below. Have you had problems contacting Rep. Mike Haridopolos' office for help?
