Chani and Paul show up at the same time to stop them. Looks like they kill the worm rather than allow it to be taken. This becomes their reunion scene.
Frank Herbert loved the 1984 version of Dune despite Lynch's additions (although he had one complaint about the ending), so I don't think he'd care if Denis changes Messiah.

DUNE IS SET IN THE YEAR 10,191 BUT NOT IN OUR CALENDAR, IT'S ACTUALLY 10,191 AG, WHICH STANDS FOR AFTER GUILD, MEANING THE SPACING GUILD, WHICH WAS FOUNDED 10,000 YEARS AFTER THE BUTLERIAN JIHAD, WHICH WAS THE WAR AGAINST THINKING MACHINES, WHICH HAPPENS 10,000 YEARS FROM NOW...
Paul Atreides only wanted revenge against The Emperor and House Harkonnen, he used the Fremen and they're religious beliefs to twist them into his own personal hit squad. After he achieved his goals it grew beyond his control and The Fremen wanted to genocide all infidels.
Replying to @WB_Baskerville
Why or how would there be a massive war resulting in 61 billion deaths? Paul already controls the spice, so effective resistance is impossible, and nobody was especially loyal to the previous Emperor anyway. The galaxy would most likely just accept the change.
These same bootlickers will post shit on Facebook about being tough alphas who don't take disrespect.
C'mon man, you dont have to do this. Just promote Dune 3 and move on to 007.
Denis Villeneuve watched Digger and states that it is an important movie.
Sitting with director Alejandro G. Iñárritu, Villeneuve is right to claim that Digger is a very important mirror.
Whether anyone likes the film or not, it'll remain iconic and will continue to be discussed, and even cherished by many.

These are my great-grandfather Dr. Sam Aykroyd’s transcripts from the Seances he hosted in the Old Farmhouse. It was the spirit of his work passed down through the generations that inspired my interests. He’s the original Ghostbuster.
Hardcore Bigfoot believers are crashing out over this. Let's say the rehearsal footage is a guy in a suit, but Patty is real; what are the odds, realistically, that a man hired to make a Bigfoot documentary would rehearse it then later actually find and film a real specimen?
I was pulled over at 3am on my lunch break, the cop approached the car with gun drawn and pointed at my face, the cop then asked why I was so nervous and I said deadpan because you had a gun in my face.
This was 2005 and I was driving a two-tone silver and gray 1988 Ford Thunderbird. How many 1988 silver and gray Thunderbirds could there have been on the road at the moment?
