Article 9 of Annex VII to the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) explicitly states that the absence of a party or failure to defend a case "shall not constitute a bar to the proceedings". You're only reinforcing the fact that you're all liars.

There's also an RSV OPV on the other side of the facility undergoing some post-dry dock works

He should have done so. He's free to bring with him the China MAKAPILIs that suddenly became very vocal. The Philippines has no need for them.

And yet more than 40 countries support/recognize the WPS and/or UNCLOS ruling. No other country recognizes the 9/10 dash line. But sure, it's the Philippines that's the problem 🤦‍♂️

Lol, the right to not present their horseshit evidence? Of course that oozes confidence in China's claim. China will never get the recognition to their claim, and it will continue to be illegal. They just can't believe a small country is pushing them to out themselves more.

We chose to let them in - that's the difference. That's independence. We can kick them out if we wanted to, and we can let them in. Unlike China who's pushing themselves in our EEZ even if they are unwelcome. It's China's fault we had to ask to deepen alliances.

True, it's a miracle to expect China to be civil and peaceful amongst its neighbors. They will continue to be a thieving, greedy, aggressive, bullying, petulant, and imperialist-wannabie. It would be fun to see the same fate that Russia is in to China🤣

Whataboutism. China is still a signatory, and they ratified it. We asked them to have our claims adjudicated by a third party - they know their claim is horseshit, that's why they threw a hissy fit and didn't attend. China's claims are illegal and not recognized by anyone else.

You know, if China just dropped their illegal claim and focused on peace and respect in the SCS, and just let Taiwan be their own sovereign country, everyone in the region would be happy. PH and China could have been good partners. The CCP just can't stop being greedy.

It's China who's trying their best to alienate neighboring countries because of their aggressive actions and claims. If China didn't have the money, they would have been isolated long ago. We can choose who we ally with, that's independence.

Sadly, what I noticed is that the Muslim community are largely ignorant or apathetic to the ongoing genocide and crimes against humanity of the Uyghur Muslim minority that's perpetuated and facilitated by China.

The only country that benefits in pushing that narrative is China. We brought China in an arbitration court, under UNCLOS that they signed and ratified. It only becomes a problem if China will not like the result. China is the aggressor, and they are stealing our EEZ.

"True independence means having diplomatic autonomy", lol, says China that wants to isolate weaker countries so they can dominate them by bully tactics. That narrative immediately falls apart because we are not a neutral country, but we are independent.

If that's the case, why is China flailing and exerting more and more pressure that their Ambassador can't even keep his cool. Even China's own ships are ramming each other. They can't even manufacture their own narrative because of massive evidences that they are the aggressors.

Ukraine style proxy war? Was it the US and/or EU that invaded Ukraine?

Independence =/= no alliances. You are conflating independence with full neutrality. We are an independent country with alliances. China is actively stealing the EEZ of the Philippines and is aggressively acting against our sovereignty, against international law.
