The Hunts Post should never have published this. This is basically a story about someone going to the police because he didn't like the way the Chairman managed the meetings. The police investigation has no legs, the case will be closed within days - and we can go back to focusing on the real story - a Reform UK Councillor who is under investigation for allegedly submitting inaccurate nomination papers.

September 11, 2001, after the 9/11 attacks, when the U.S. closed its airspace. Dozens of transatlantic flights heading to America were diverted, and 38 of them landed at Gander International Airport in Newfoundland.
That brought nearly 7,000 passengers and crew into a town of about 10,000 people.
Among those diverted to Gander was GARY CHRISTY of March, Cambridgeshire. His account of that time is one of the most moving stories we have published.

The news got all a bit too close to home yesterday.
I started out on a walk - and chanced upon a wildfire at Five Trees Court in Cambridge.
It spread fast. The fire service arrived within minutes.
It appears cans and bottles dumped in the fenced off mini forest was the cause.
