I have no doubt Mr. Schumer is a good human/leader with vast experience.
But to give him credit as to what took place this past Tuesday is crazy. This also asks to forget the last ten years.
People chose Trump and maga. due to people like Mr. Schumer. Fair or not
I have known Chuck Schumer for 16 years. I worked closely with him and his staff when I worked for Harry Reid. I have a lot of respect for him and have also had my differences over the years.
The job of leader happens mostly behind the scenes. The traits that make a good leader are not the same as what makes you good at social media, etc. Reid was famous for saying off-message stuff—lord knows how he would have fared in the age of social media.
When you’re in the majority, the job is about setting the agenda and passing bills that help people. When you’re in the minority, you’re at the mercy of the majority in terms of the agenda, so the job is mainly to get back in the majority.
By that measure, Schumer succeeded wildly on Tuesday.
He oversaw the biggest Democratic sweep in the Senate since Watergate, recruiting candidates who fit their states and putting them in position to win states many had written off long ago. He was an early believer in Mississippi, for example.
You can litigate this or that decision, and I certainly didn’t agree with them all—but when you step back and look at the big picture there’s simply no way to argue with this historic achievement.
To me, the question of whether Schumer deserves to be reelected as leader after the most dominant performance by Senate Democrats in more than half a century is straightforward, and the answer is clearly yes.
This is real. This really is posted by CentCom.

See: Paris Charter for a New Europe (1990). Which is an expansion of -1975 Helsinki Accords.
And this boy here is literally regurgitating it as new framework for peace.
No shame what’s so ever.
President Trump today advanced an important discussion with several European leaders about the need for a broader European security architecture that can help establish the conditions for lasting peace.
Building on his leadership and the substantive work undertaken this week in Brussels with Ukraine, NATO, and our European partners, @SEPeaceMissions and I wanted to share some of the objectives guiding our ongoing discussions.
For more than 30 years, Europe and Russia have struggled to establish a sustainable security framework. Decades of mistrust, competing security concerns, and the devastating consequences of this war make this an extraordinarily difficult challenge, but one that is essential to lasting peace.
Our objective is to develop practical arrangements that address the security concerns of all sides, reduce the risk of future conflict, and create a more stable and predictable security environment.
We are exploring five principal goals: permanent security consultations, reliable crisis communications, greater military transparency, reciprocal measures to reduce escalation risks, and an enduring framework for long-term European security and stability.
Any arrangements must fully respect the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independent decision-making of every nation. Each country will retain authority over its own security and alliances, and no country would have a veto over another’s sovereign choices. NATO will remain central to European collective defense, and this initiative would build upon existing institutions and commitments.
We will continue consultations through the Shell Bay format with Ukraine, NATO, the EU, and our European partners, expanding engagement to ensure that all relevant perspectives and ideas are considered. We will also engage Russia as part of the peace negotiations.
Next week in Abu Dhabi, the United States will convene the first trilateral peace discussions with Ukraine and Russia since February. All parties remain intensely engaged in preparing for substantive and productive negotiations. We will consult closely with our European partners on the sidelines and, if progress is made, aim to move toward a broader multilateral format with their direct participation.
These ideas continue to evolve, and we welcome thoughtful input. Creating the right structure will be critical to ending this war and transitioning from conflict toward conditions that make possible a durable peace.
This is difficult, detailed work. There are no easy solutions. But the opportunity to help end this devastating war and build a foundation for a more peaceful, secure, and prosperous Europe for generations to come makes it a challenge well worth undertaking.
We will see how these discussions develop and continue working intensively with all parties toward President Trump’s objective of a comprehensive and lasting peace.
What is the difference with this guy and mega pundits?
Kelan, fair or not people want these people out. In my opinion the ire that drove so many to the poles is not only directed at Trump and mega but the entire establishment. This includes Chuck and Jeffries.
You’re out of touch @jonstewart. Sorry, man. Schumer had his hands everywhere and still fought during the longest shutdown. Not the way I wanted over one particular battle doesn’t mean I detract from my people. War’s still on. Lock in.
Neera, hate saying it but you may be the biggest loser in this election cycle.
I have no objections on your views/opinions. But you interjected yourself in primaries in questionable ways when you didn’t need to. Buy some humility and refrain from speaking for a little while.
The beauty of the big tent is that it includes so many people: the left, normie Dems, moderates, independents and even some Republicans. Cooper, Talarico, Sherrod, Annie Andrews, Turek, all ran campaigns that had high turnout of young people, and poeple of color, suffered no defections from the left and got some Republicans. The left and moderates coexisted in these races and won.
Why is a sitting United States senator arguing with a parody account?
Senator, get it together sir.
Two days after being elected to Secretary of State the campaign of @beaubayh is calling for me to be thrown into federal prison.
Democrats like Bayh aren’t serious about making your life better, they’re focused on silencing their political opponents.
Katie, I’m saying this as a well to do stranger. You may want to cycle your opinions through the logic filters in your mind a few times before deciding to share it with us.
What does @AbdulElSayed do immediately post election? Run to NYC to do media like @Morning_Joe and @TheView.
He should be in Michigan working on how to get utility rates down, property taxes lowered and literacy rates up.
Instead, he’s already raising his profile to run for President.
Color me shocked.
lol. Damn this is a diabolical post.
Replying to @Shige1304 @RadioFreeTom
The strength of his intelligence is great, but it doesn't exceed the strength of his ideological bonds.
personally, ass hats like this douche bag are the most detestable in all political discourse.
“ these other guys won so I don’t feel safe now I might go to this other place”.
Tell it to your mom and kindly shut the fuck up.
lol. This is the most millennial question I’ve ever seen.
Uzi, banks at the time had to really dig deep on every loan applicant’s financial condition. And document, file all relevant info for Uncle Sam. Because in that era the loan approval process was well regulated.
Damn Nick. You should of tried visualizing some lotto numbers for November 3/2026
1. Convince Roy Cooper to run in NC
2. Finally unseat Susan Collins in Maine
3. Hope Sherrod Brown can pull off a comeback in Ohio
4. Somehow win Texas? Get Peltola to run in Alaska? 🤷♂️

At this point, you are either willful ignorant, fuck, or despicable human filth. It’s hopeless at this point.
I wasn't following this race closely until that surprising video of her mom calling her a liar. Hours later @MegynKellyShow did due diligence, and it turns out Acton's very flawed mother is correct about her daughter.
Every claim here is a lie. The biggest one is her claim she was attached a few days ago. Megyn Kelly showed the video. It was nothing.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
1978 court records show Acton's stepfather charged with raping her at 12; kids removed from mom's custody. Mom stayed with him. Megyn Kelly covered the ad and other Acton issues without concluding mom correct on childhood claims.

Thank God for saying decent people in this world. This should be the only response after being confronted with the fact of this issue.
Whether you are doing this intentionally or intentionally this is vile Laura Loomer.
After posting bail, he fled the state to escape prosecution.
Amy Acton’s stepfather never stood trial and never faced a conviction after Amy Acton accused him of rape. @amyactonoh
He was accused. He was never convicted.
We have seen over and over again how anyone can accuse someone of rape.
They did it to Brett Kavanaugh.
They did it to President Trump.
Liberal women love accusing men of rape.
I think we have all learned this by now.
Amy Acton’s mother is warning America about how destructive her daughter is.
Ohio voters should listen.
Amy Acton locked Ohio down with lies about the China Virus.
She didn’t think twice about ruining millions of Ohio residents’ lives and businesses when she locked Ohio down as Ohio’s Health Director.
Do you really think she has a leg to stand on when it comes to her credibility?
Amy Acton is a drunk and a liar.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Court records and 1978 reports show Cledith Arthur was charged with raping 12-year-old Amy Acton (then Stearns), pleaded not guilty, and fled Ohio on bond before trial. Warrants issued; he died a fugitive in 2004 without conviction.
