The Hafley Effect is real?!
Are players requesting NOT to be traded due to their belief in Hafley and what's being built in Miami?
Did the Dolphins defense get some GOOD news today?

Sources: The #Jets, #Colts, #Patriots, #Dolphins and #Texans all put in claims for former #Raiders DT Jonah Laulu.
But the #Titans landed him because they had the highest waiver priority.
Source: The #Titans claimed former Raiders DT Jonah Laulu.
The 26-year-old Laulu was very productive in Vegas, when he set the franchise record for most tackles (86) over the first 2 seasons.

My Takeaways From The Miami Dolphins 28-25 Week 7 Win Over The New York Jets:
• Easily Malik Willis’ best performance as a Miami Dolphin, especially in the first half where he was sharp, decisive and throwing strikes. Was he as lights out in the second half as he was in the first? No but he made the throw to Caleb Douglas when he needed to and it wasn’t his decision for the play calling to be conservative. It felt like we saw some real growth from him too, especially with how he was willing to take what the defense gave him, especially in the first half. Now it’s about stacking these performances more consistently and continuing to grow. Loved what I saw - more of the Malik I saw on the GB film than I saw in the first 5 games.
• Bobby Slowik was a little too conservative with the lead at times in the second half but I thought he called a good game otherwise, especially in the first half but love the run/pass balance he stuck to
• Ollie Gordon may be the heart of this offense right now. He looks more and more like 2023 Heisman Ollie with every game.
• Caleb Douglas. Wow. Talk about making the most of your opportunities, unbelievable. What a return.
• Greg Dulcich was 2 yards away from breaking his own personal single game receiving yards record and didn’t record a single catch in the second half due to a lack of targets. Baffling.
• Chris Bell stiff arming multiple defenders on a screen was awesome
• Kadyn Proctor continues to be an absolute monster in the trenches and really, the offensive line was once again good…
• Austin Jackson getting beat off the snap by Nate Lynn on third down for a sack is a story we are all too familiar with, dude needs to go
• Jeff Hafley’s defense started off rough but eventually settled in, can’t say enough about how he’s had the defense prepared and ready to play. Happy he’s got his first of hopefully many wins under his belt.
• Chop Robinson is getting better week by week as he gets more and more comfortable in Hafley’s defense
• Malik Herring lowkey made some good plays yesterday for the Dolphins
• Zach Sieler continues to play very well
• Yesterday was only the second time this season that Jordyn Brooks finished with more tackles in a game than Jacob Rodriguez
• Chris Johnson is a baller man, he’s getting better and better each week. That call against him to negate his first INT was SAWFT
• Juju Brents is playing good football right now and most of all, he’s staying healthy, I love it
• I think Jason Marshall Jr. has had more downs than ups this season and Mason Taylor mossing him won’t help but what can he do there? Not his fault just got beat by a great throw and catch
• Michael Taaffe makes another big play with his second INT of the season but still needs build out his strength and body, too many of his tackle attempts are being shed and he got beat in coverage for the second Mason Taylor touchdown and the 2 PT conversion
• Dante Trader Jr. showing some toughness returning to the game after his injury, hope he’s okay long term
Big W for the Dolphins but can they keep stacking wins? Can Willis keep stacking good performances? Can Bobby Slowik keep making life easier for Willis and the offense? Can Ollie keep shouldering the load as the heartbeat of the offense?
Miami has another division rival on deck with the Patriots who pose a tougher challenge than the Jets from coaching to personnel.
At the end of the day, none of us believed they would go 0-17 nor did any of us want to see that, personally, I wanted them to be competitive and yesterday was more than that, it’s a win so I’m ecstatic.
At this point it’s about taking it one game at a time and hoping we see the week to week growth from all the young players on this roster as they become foundational pieces to this organization’s future. #PhinsUp

I keep saying it:
The light went on with that BS roughing the passer call Chop drew because he finished the play off on Mahomes.
He was dominant on that drive after the call with the 6 yard loss he and Rodriguez had on Walker then forcing an incompletion with a pressure/hit on Mahomes on 3rd down.
Since then he’s been a complete menace pressure wise and came into this week tied for the best Pass Rush Win Rate in the league.
Chop forced an incompletion with a hit/pressure on Burrow and then was an eyelash away from a massive sack but Burrow got the ball out just in time to Perine for a TD.
Then today with his pressure he forced a bad throw which led to an incompletion on the screen that Juju was on top of, Chop had a sack to force a FG attempt after Sieler and Uche each had run stops plus he had a nice run stop with Taaffe in the second quarter.
Everyone wants to look at the undefeated teams the Dolphins have faced, well look at the savvy veteran QBs Chop has had to rush who know their hots, are decisive and get the ball out quick, etc.
The least advanced from a processing standpoint out of them who also had the worst RT of them all, Kyler Murray, was running for his life.
I know there’s rumors out there about Chop garnering trade interest but based on the early return he’s had under Coach Hafley, I’d prefer they get him a pass rush partner on the opposite side via FA or the draft and I want to see what Hafley and Chop can do with a lot more than the 5 games we’ve got so far (he missed the SF game).
Hafley is JUST starting to unlock Chop and I want to see what he’ll look like with two/three years in Hafley’s system under his belt. #PhinsUp
