Thank you to @Siobhan_Baillie for backing the return of weddings. From 1st May, when groups 1-9 have been vaccinated, weddings could include safety measures such as track & trace but guest number limits would be lifted so important cultural and ceremonial activities can resume.

We need a clear roadmap on Monday and businesses need financial support, particularly if we’re capped by arbitrary numbers or we lose any more of the wedding season. Clarity + support = essential.

Thank you @RobertSyms for standing up for the half a million couples waiting to get married + the 400,000 jobs in the UK wedding sector. Bringing back Covid-secure weddings from 8 March lets us prepare to bring back normal weddings from 1 May once groups 1-9 have been vaccinated.
