Stablecoins can play an important role in expanding certain utility across the Pi ecosystem, particularly in use cases where predictable price stability is important.
The introduction of stablecoins requires a deliberate, unique approach, and must be aligned with Pi Network’s ecosystem and principles.
- Simply adding a stablecoin does not guarantee that it will naturally complement Pi.
- How the two function alongside each other depends on how stablecoins are integrated into the Pi ecosystem.
This makes the design and initial introduction especially important. Stablecoin functionality should be directed toward circumstances where price stability is needed while preserving the utility of the Pi cryptocurrency across the broader ecosystem.

Pi has released several technical updates to KYC and Mainnet migration processes that address specific KYC application corner cases, improve verification processes, and help eligible Pioneers who were previously unable to progress.
KYC and Mainnet migration involve many different checks designed to allow genuine Pioneers to progress while preventing bad actors, bots and those with policy violations.
While most Pioneers move through these processes continuously, certain groups can become stuck because of specific corner cases that require additional evaluation or custom technical solutions.

SoloHost updates have been released alongside Pi Desktop version 0.6.3! This improves app discovery, reliability, and developer tools.
Pioneers can more easily discover actively used SoloHost apps. Reliability improvements and developer resources, such as AI agents compatibility, also support the building and troubleshooting of apps.

Pi Mainnet Applications Close to Record-Breaking Milestone
Pi Network (@PiCoreTeam) now has 82 operational Mainnet apps as the network expands toward a 100-app milestone.
This growth follows the successful deployment of Protocol 26, which helped cement the network’s structure for high-speed retail utility and real-world applicability across its 55M+ mobile-first user base.

Pi Network @PiCoreTeam joins RoboPay as a payment partner. Pi will be used to pay for robot services across the Fabric network.
RoboPay was built to enable AI agents to discover, hire, coordinate, and pay robots autonomously onchain, transforming robots from connected machines into autonomous economic actors capable of providing real-world services.
Today, that same infrastructure extends beyond AI.
Tens of millions of Pi users will have access to robot services directly through the use of currency that they already hold. Backend capabilities begin with persistent storage for newly created App Studio apps, allowing apps to save and retrieve user-specific data across sessions.
Creators can now build App Studio apps with user experiences that continue even after users leave and return.
For example:
- Game apps can remember a user’s high scores
- Productivity apps can remember a user’s to-do lists
- Note-taking apps can preserve notes automatically
Before, Pi App Studio apps were largely limited to frontend-only, single-session experiences, where app data such as preferences or progress would disappear if users left the app.
