Each of these core guardrails in the US democracy are under attack.
PRIMOS has always stood for love, family, and above all, acceptance.
✨All people are created equal.✨
I hope our bold, goofy, heartfelt show helped viewers feel seen and heard.
No Sabo-liciously,
Angela

The s1 finale of PRIMOS aired on Disney Channel, "Summer of Sueños." I am SO proud to have written on this series and also co-written this special episode with Diego Salazar Castro.
It's got a wedding, it's got US bureaucracy, and it's more relevant to today than ever.

LA friends, reminder that if you have the means, MOVE IT. Fires move faster than maps can update. If you got an evac warning, don't wait for it to become an order. We have 0% containment and our dear city is infamous for gridlock.
Quick list of things to pack. Share widely. 👇🏽

OK let's go on HOW TO MAKE AN INVOICE
Reasons to use them: Clients can't chargeback randomly, and if their payment method fails, you still get paid.
As a client, invoices have a ToS section, if the artist fails you, you can contest.
It's extremely safe and easy to set up

One of my favorite episodes of Disney's “Primos” that I got to write is now FREE to watch on YouTube. It’s also one of the episodes that is very personal to me growing up as a Mexican American in LA.
Some thoughts on “Summer of No Sabo.” 🧵

Kids are still drawn to TV, but we've made it so much harder for them to watch it. When their shows shuffle between five different streamers or on cable which most people don't have, how are they supposed to access it? They can access TikTok on their own, they don't need to pay.
Disney has reportedly cancelled ‘ZOMBIES: THE REANIMATED SERIES’ and shortened its episode order laying off many artists and crew members.
Their reasoning is that kids prefer short form media rather than the “traditional show style”

A little Friday night fun. In the Primos episode "Summer of Tater Luna," Tater holds up a How to Draw Manga book. A lot of us on the crew had a shared core memory.
As a fellow weeb, I dug into my personal archives and dug up the source material. A trip down memory lane. 🧵

"El amor vence los miedos" (love conquers fear) was this year's theme @Pixelatl and it really hit home.
My first Pixelatl in 2022, I was terrified that I would stand out, that my fumbling Spanish would be embarrassing, that I'd get lost.
Once I arrived, my fears vanished.

Yesterday was a hard day, but if I can manage last-minute health emergencies, keep my cool with colleagues and clients, and still keep up in meetings, I think someday I'm gonna make a decent showrunner.

PRIMOS is out in the world!
If you don't have Disney+ you can watch the first two episodes on YouTube. My personal fave of this early set is "Summer of La Muñeca" for a perfect spooky summer treat.
