From this morning’s Bible study: GOD IS GOOD Can you trust that God is good even when His answer isn't what you wanted? Jesus uses a simple picture to explain something profound. Imagine a child asking their father for bread. Would a loving father hand them a stone? If the child asked for a fish, would the father give them a snake? Of course not! Jesus is making a comparison. Even imperfect human parents know how to give good things to their children. So how much more can we trust our heavenly Father? That can be harder to believe than it sounds. We may believe God is powerful, but is He good? We may believe He can answer prayer, but will He actually do what is best for us? Those questions become especially real when God doesn't answer the way we hoped. Maybe you've asked Him to heal someone and the person didn't get better. Maybe you've asked Him to restore a relationship, and it ended anyway. Maybe you've prayed for a particular opportunity, and the door stayed shut. In moments like that, God's goodness can become difficult to understand. But God's goodness isn't measured by whether He gives us everything we ask for. Think about your own life. There are probably things you once wanted desperately that you are now glad you didn't receive. There are doors you wanted opened that, looking back, you are grateful remained closed. Sometimes God's no is protecting us. Sometimes His wait is preparing us. Sometimes His yes is an unexpected gift. And there is one thing we never have to wonder about when it comes to God's heart. He has already given us Jesus. The greatest gift God could give us has already been given. So we can bring our requests to Him. We can ask boldly. We can tell Him what we want. We can be honest about what hurts. And at the same time, we can trust that our Father is good. You don't have to understand everything God is doing to trust who He is. Tomorrow, we'll bring the whole journey together and ask what persistent prayer is really doing in us. Reflection Question:How would your prayers change if you trusted God's goodness before you knew what His answer would be? Thank God today for three good things He has already given you, then bring Him one request you are still waiting on. Prayer: Father, thank You for being good. Help me trust Your heart when I don't understand Your answer. Teach me to ask boldly while holding my desires with open hands. Amen.

I prayed in Jesus' name that God will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!! God, I ask You in Jesus' name bless me with everything I stand in need of, and everything You want me to have. Bless me to prosper, have excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Heal me in every area of my life. Let Your Word dwell within me richly. Let Your Word be a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. God bless me with Your favor, knowledge, wisdom, peace, protection, and success in all You have called me to do. And bless me to do all You have called me to do in the spirit of excellence for Your glory.

My favorite recipes involve red lentils pasta or gnocchi. Easy recipes, fast to cook, high protein or gnocchi also lower calories. Oven baked feta cheese with tomatoes, EVOO and spices. Mix in pasta and ground beef afterwards. Or heat veggies in a pan, put some cream cheese in it as well, spices. Add the gnocchi/pasta. Again with ground beef, or chicken. Or begin with ground beef in the pan add tomatoes/veggies, tomato paste and spices. Put it on a plate covered with lamb lettuce, round it up with low fat mozzarella cheese. All so easy to make. 1 pan, red lentils pasta is cooked in 5min. Throw cheese and veggies into the oven. Nothing really with a lot of prep time.

It's my Dad's birthday today. He's really old, like 20 or something. But we all tried to make it a very happy birthday for him and I think we did a good job 😊 #ILoveMyDad #HappyBirthday #Love #Family #Dogs

Somebody woke this morning beside an empty pillow. Somebody is waiting for a voice they will never hear again. Somebody put their boots on with a heart so heavy they could barely stand. And somebody... Somebody is smiling right now so nobody will know they cried themselves to sleep. Lord... You know every one of them. And You know me. ... Forgive me for the times I looked upon another and believed I knew their burden. Forgive me for the love I withheld while defending my pride. For the words I should have spoken. And the words I can never take back. ... Father... If I owe someone an apology, let me speak it while their ears can still hear. If I have love to give, let me give it while their hands can still receive it. If I have been wrong, let truth find me before my pride buries me. And if someone has wronged me... Teach me to put down the stone without pretending the wound was never there. ... Lord... I have buried enough yesterdays. I have feared enough tomorrows. And I have spent too many precious moments trying to hold together things that were never mine to carry. But this morning... My heart is still beating. My lungs are still breathing. And somewhere... Someone prayed through the night for just one more sunrise. The very sunrise I nearly took for granted. ... Father... One day my hands will release everything they ever held. My work will remain unfinished. My chair will sit empty. And this world will go on without asking my permission. So before that morning comes... Let me love the living while they are living. Let me forgive while forgiveness can still be spoken. Let me give thanks before gratitude becomes regret. And when I cannot see the road ahead... Remind me... I was never asked to carry the whole world. Only to walk faithfully through the little piece of it You placed beneath my feet. ... BE STILL. AND KNOW. The sun rose without my help.
