No, you are not getting out of an IP infringement case because you prompted the bot to generate that image. I saw that and IMMEDIATELY said "That's a Star Destroyer, and this is NOT a Star Wars book." The Devil Mouse is NOT forgiving of IP infringement.
"Oh hey, email notification of this author I follow. What's the new book?" *sees cover* "That certainly is a choice for a cover."

In his latest episode, @bronzeagemantis stated that some (I am not sure if he himself believes this, and I apologize if I misunderstood the point) stated that slaying the dragon is 'slaying the longhouse'. I disagree entirely. The Hero rides FROM the longhouse TO slay the dragon. These commenters may or may not be men of action, but the reality is that the Dragon is a symbol of evil, often active or at least reactive evil. The Longhouse is a metaphor for passivity, never becoming a man, and the (wicked) control of olds over young. It is noteworthy that good 'olds' like Beowulf ride forth, but is betrayed by the Longhouse he built with the prosperity of the kingdom. Only the Young Heroic Man stands near him, who surely would have ridden forth, had not the great hero fought again. Consider, the oldest myths have Dragons do the following: 1. Corrupt/Kidnap/Slay young women 2. Gather gold and avenge themselves on thieves. 3. Corrupt the land the slay the people/their cattle wealth. (The Dragon may speak and attack via sapping the heroic character of the hero. Either, the Dragon will equivocate evil with good, justify his evil and caused suffering, or try to cause as much chaos as possible. However, whatever the dragon says, 1-3 are still it's primary goal.) Or some combination. Beowulf is a 2. Cepheus seems to be a 3 but it's goals are 1. Many English myths are a 3. This is independent of the actions of the hero. Beowulf rides forth to slay the dragon destroying his land. Sigfried slays Fafnir at the advice of the wicked dwarf. Various Knights adventure from their courts, which may or may not be explicit longhouses to either find what adventure they may, or out on explicit business and so slay the dragon. As an example and if I'm recalling correctly (may @NathanCJHood correct me), Sir Percival is raised as a girl, but his masculine nature bursts forth when weapons are placed before him, like some stories of Achilles. He leaves his smothering mother and goes adventuring. Later, he saves a lion from a deadly and gigantic serpent. A relatively minor slaying, but still, the evil of the serpent is overcoming the lion, which is a greater beast, but man's sword (which was often held up as a cross) overcomes. This is a deep thing. Around every heart is a serpent, sin, which serves the Dragon, Satan. The Man's Soul is a lion, noble, majestic, the King of all Beasts, but only the divine intervention of a noble knight (Jesus), may save the Lion from the destruction of the serpent. This is what I'm getting at. While the adventure is real, the affirmation of life is real, in reality, the Dragon is the Wicked One afflicting the people. Whether as an explicit devil analogue as in many medieval and even pre-medieval tales, or as a devil as with many myth, or a monstrous and evil force of nature, as the earliest seem to be with the Greeks and some others, the dragon is not human evil. Non-Heroic Man reacts to the force of the dragon evilly and submits, no matter what they suffer. In reality, the mass of humans are not capable of handling the evil afflicting them, their communities, their hearts. So, the princess is sacrificed, the animals slaughtered, and the people suffer depredations. The Heroic Man breaks free or at least goes forth from his safety, his longhouse, to reach the higher calling of dragon slayer. The Modern Man is surrounded on all sides with dragons. They are left unslayed, sacred, even. Innocent maidens are being ravished and slain. Only heroes who burst out of the Longhouse may begin the work of making the land safe again.

I miss archaeologist women. A lost breed.
"Noir" is one of my very first original characters. I hope I can find time to draw her more in the future.

"Why does nobody run for the school board?" "Why are the Rotary clubs empty?" "Why does every town meeting feel like it's run by the same motley assortment of terrible people?" Because the men who ought be doing so--the successful local men of prominence, typically businessmen and lawyers--came to the conclusion in the mid-20th century that participation in and leadership of civic life was someone else's job. This is the desire of the so-called conservative to simply "work" rather than do all the other things that keep entropy at bay and ensure things function. Their doing so left open the field to the worst among us: spiteful malcontents It wasn't always like this. The planters of the Virginia gentry served as vestryman, justice, militia officer and burgess, usually before he turned thirty and usually for no pay, other than perhaps having some travel expenses covered as a burgess. It was expected of him, and he expected it of himself: as a man whose success made him privileged, he was duty-bound to be the one to show up and lead That habit can come back. It ought come back. It starts with showing up to the boring meeting, and being the sort of man to whom others listen. The sort of man whose reputation for success and competence, and cultivated but not overdone and always aesthetically pleasing look makes others want to follow him This is what the great men we look back to did, and is indeed what their whole soceity was geared toward producing: great men who were great leaders at every level of civic life, from the humblest station at the bottom to the greatest at the top Re-engaging in that way will be critical if we are to retake our country. Read more about what we can learn from the Virginia gentry here: theamericantribune.news/p/ho…

Cave Johnson here. I'm told that we have to do this "DEI" thing so that we can get more government money for our science experiments. Some of these contracts actually require a certain number of actually Godless sodomites for fulfillment. No word on if that's by weight or what. But you know what? That's fine by me. I am all for... uh... I'm not reading that. That acronym isn't even a word- No- Fine. Welcome to Aperture Science protected classes! Unrelated announcement: The eggheads down at the spider silk labs need test subjects for something and I'm told they aren't picky. I've been asking for spider silk PJs for the last six months, but no joy. Whoever gets down there first, your first assignment is to ask about that. Look, I'm not telling the HR moro- I mean, staff that we're only hiring whatever freakazoids the government tells me to put into the weirdly thirsty for human juices spider silk labs. I am saying that I'm glad our staffing problems down there are over. And we're all getting spider silk jammies. Peak efficiency. I love it. Cave Johnson, we're done here.

This is the exact sort of character @johncwright2001 will come up with for one chapter who will say the most profound thing ever uttered by a dude with a pumpkin on his head and then will never be seen again. It will also be an obscure Wizard of Oz reference.

Better than the first 3? What?
Matt Walsh is wrong here. The Prequels are legitimately the best set of Star Wars films. Anakins entire life too is literally just dealing with alien freaks who continually mistreat him and democracy that doesn’t function till he snaps. Great story.

We can’t obsess on the past, like so many do. It doesn’t help at all. We have to look to the future, and even more so with our Japanese friends.
One thing I’ve noticed from using Twitter’s auto-translate feature: Americans seem to bring up the atomic bombings of Japan far less often than I expected. Honestly, that surprised me.

Adam Smasher rasps: "I'll use you like a training dummy." "Oh no! Go Go Gadget Oil Slick!" Adam Smasher comically slips on the oil slick and in the process accidentally blows his own head schmoove off with his shotgun.
The scariest man in Night City and some random dude. (for my homies in the retirement home)

Indians receive extreme hostilities primarily due to their cultural behavior of aggressively lying about everything. Acknowledging any fault is a massive blow to their izzat, so they lie and feign superiority. This pathological untruthfulness is simply a part of Indian culture.
Indian-Americans may be facing their worst wave of hostility in the United States in half a century. The irony is that they are under attack not because they have failed to make it in the US, but because they have succeeded so spectacularly.
